Tag Rugby competition

On Friday the Tag Rugby team played in a borough competition. All played with courage and determination in horrible conditions.

Clockhouse started brightly with a 4-0 victory over Engayne sadly this was followed with a 4-2 defeat to  rivals Upminster.

Despite the loss Clockhouse bounced back in emphatic style beating Cranbrook 6 tries to nil. In our third game we played the hosts Oakfields. In an end to end game we had to settle for a well deserved draw 4-4.

We finished the afternoon by making a statement that we are still one of the boroughs best sides with a 6-0 win over Oakfields B Team.

We must thank our hosts for another well run event.

The Clockhouse team were brave, hard working, and determined. It is impossible to pick individuals out everybody played well.

Try scorers included: Alfie, Charlie, Molly, Travis, Lewis, Caitlin, Harvey and Michael.

Well done Clockhouse another great sporting achievement!

Football update

Following Clockhouse boys football team being crowned  Havering Premier League School Champions the children went on to represent Havering against schools in the whole of Essex.

Essex's 5 best teams battled it out with no teams winning or loosing by more than a goal.

In the group stages our results were:

1-1 Holland Park
Scorer: Arjunah

0-0 Westley Middle

0-1 Woodlands

0-1 Writtle

In the quarter final we drew Holland Park again and 2 goals from Vinny eased Clockhouse to a 2-0 victory.

In the semi final we played Woodlands again but this time going down 3-0.

This meant that overall we finished third in the whole of Essex a truly amazing achievement!

All represented the school with pride and made us very proud! Thanks must also go to our loyal supporters for transporting the boys and for lots of cheering and encouragement!

We have since found out the boys team have also qualified through to the Quarter Finals of the Havering League and we await to hear who we have drawn when we return to school - well done everyone!
