Weekly reminders for week beginning 29th June 2015

Firstly an apology that the newsletter did not come out last week, it is ready to go to print and should be with by Tuesday at the latest! 

3LW and RAF
3LW and RAF continue with this years Celebration Assemblies on Monday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year. The assemblies promise to be a wonderful occasion if the efforts that the children have put into practising are anything to go by. 
3LW - 9.00am (Key Stage 2 Hall)
RAF - 2.50pm (Key stage 1 Hall)


Fit and Fab
Mr Thomas, Mrs Drake and the Fit and Fab group are off to Tesco's on Monday afternoon to choose lots of healthy foods to try back at school. Please ensure consent forms are returned on Monday if you have not done so already.

Year 4
On Tuesday, the Year 4 children will be taking part in a day of African Drumming - a wonderful experience for them. Please ensure that you contributions have been sent in for this.

Music Evening
Our musicians are putting on their annual recital on Tuesday (4-5pm), we look forward to welcoming parents and families to see how much the children have learnt this year.

Year 5 Meeting for Parents
Parents of children currently in Year 5, please do not forget that we have the meeting on Wednesday (6pm) where the Borough talk to you about the process of applying for a Secondary School place for your child. This will take place in the Key Stage 2 hall.

Sport
Good luck to the Girls football team who play Crownfield at home on Thursday.

We also look forward to welcoming our new Reception Parents this week, you should all have had a letter by now to tell you when your meeting is.

The Dojo League

The Dojo League!

A big well done to everybody for all the positive Dojos that have been awarded this week, there have certainly been a lot.

This half terms Dojo League has got off to a very positive start! Well done to  3HF and 3LW who again all got 100% this week and top the league.

4CD and 3LB currently hold second position with 2SM, 2TR, 4LJ and 6SK in third.

Well done to these classes and everyone else for really trying to earn Dojos for their class.

Weekly reminder week beginning 22nd June 2015

Welcome back to the Year 6 children who went to Bournemouth. Hopefully you have had lots of sleep and ready for the week ahead!

The Year 6 children are off to the Havering Junior Citizen event on Friday afternoon. Please ensure that permission slips have been returned if you have not done so already.

Good luck to the Year 3 and 4 athletics team who take part in the borough Quad Kids tournament on Tuesday. Thank you to the parents for providing transport.

The message from the coach is that they are aiming for 7.45pm.

Progress from Bournemouth

I am in close touch with the Bournemouth coach!

They left Monkey World on time but unfortunately there is a lot of traffic on the M3. They are now at Fleet and enjoying their food!

Expected time of arrival currently 6.30 but this is by no means set. Please watch the blog for updates.

Day 5 at Bournemouth

All is well in Bournemouth. The children have had another good night, the sun is shining and they are ready for their trip to Monkey World.

The coach is currently being loaded with luggage, then it is breakfast. They are leaving the hotel at 9.

More updates will follow as well as news on the progress of their journey home!

Tonight's update

The children (and staff) have had a great day which was ended with a  fabulous disco. They all had their disco outfits at the ready and have danced the night away!

Some are now watching telly whilst others are chilling out in their rooms. Bed time soon ready for Monkey World and the drive home tomorrow.

They cannot wait to see you all but have had a fantastic time!

They have had an absolutely lovely day with lovely weather. They are back at the hotel and are packing ready for departure tomorrow as well as completing the Bournemouth quiz!

Dinner is at 6 and then it is disco time!

The children are having a lovely time in Bournemouth. They have enjoyed the Oceanarium and the other activities that they have to offer. I hear crazy golf has been very popular!

The children have all had a good nights sleep, are still having a wonderful time and are looking forward to a day  in Bournemouth. Breakfast is at 8.30 (so they have a little lie in - they are tired!). The sun is shining and they are ready for Crazy Golf, the Oceanarium and lots more!

Tonight's Bournemouth update

All is wonderful in Bournemouth!

Another good day has been had and the children have thoroughly enjoyed an evening of beach games.

They are now back at the hotel, having a drink and biscuits and will soon be off to bed in preparation for their day in Bournemouth tomorrow. There are lots of things planned, including a trip to the Oceanarium, Crazy Golf, the amusements and lots more!

This will be the last update today, we will be back with more updates (and photos) tomorrow.

The children have had a great day at the activity centre and have enjoyed Quad biking, Archery and the High Ropes.

The children have arrived at Marwell and are enjoying their first activity!

I don't think they are missing you as much as you are missing them, but they all say hello to everyone back at home!

Tonight's update from Bournemouth

The children (and staff) have had a lovely day!!!!

They are back from the beach having played lots of games, done lots of digging and have had a great time on the sand. They have had a drink and biscuits and are off to bed!!

This will be the last update today, we will be back with more updates (and photos) tomorrow when they spend the day at Marwell Activity Centre for Quad Biking, High Ropes and Archery!

Tonight's Bournemouth update

The children (and staff) have had a great day!!!! You can see some evidence of the great time they are having by following the link below to the school website!


They are back from the beach and have enjoyed their time playing on the sand. They are having hot chocolate and biscuits and will be off to bed soon!!

This will be the last update today, we will be back with more updates tomorrow when they visit the farm and cathedral.


They are there!

We have just spoken to Bournemouth and they have all arrived at the hotel safely. They are unpacking and investigating their new surroundings! Dinner is at 6 and then they are off to the beach!

Everything is fine and they are all having a great time! 

Children at Intech

The children are having a lovely time at Intech investigating all the science experiments and are just off to the Planetarium. They will be leaving at about 3pm to travel to the Hotel!

Weekly reminders for week beginning 15th June 2015

We hope that you all had a good week at school last week and are ready for the week ahead.

Year 6
We all hope that Year 6 have a fabulous time in Bournemouth. Please remember to meet your group leader in the canteen on Monday morning. The children will be departing at 10am promptly if you wish to wave them off. Updates about the trip will be on the school blog and website as well as being by the main office door.

Amazing achievement - Clockhouse Netball Champions

We are delighted, proud and excited to announce that Clockhouse Primary School Netball Team were crowned champions at today's Borough Netball Rally! What an achievement!

They remained undefeated throughout the competition this morning against the best teams that Havering has to offer. The children were committed from beginning to end with great team work and were a total credit to the team, their coaches, the school and their parents.

Thanks must also go to the children, their parents and brothers and sisters, who gave up most of their Saturday to take part. We are sure you will agree it was certainly worth it!

Weekly reminders for the week beginning 8th June 2015

Thank you to everyone who supported us at the School Fete on Saturday. Your commitment to the cause  was admirable and we really do hope you all had a lovely time,the weather was certainly an improvement to last year! It would be wrong not to recognise and thank the PA for the wonderful event they put on. This has been months of preparation and we hope you all agree they really did do a superb job - here is to the next event!

We have another busy week ahead at Clockhouse - just the way we like it!

4LJ and 1CC continue this years round of Celebration Assemblies on Monday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year. Both assemblies promise to be a wonderful occasion if the efforts that the children have put into practising are anything to go by.

Year 2
On Thursday, the Year 2 children will be taking part in a day of African Drumming - a wonderful experience for them.

On Thursday afternoon Year 6 will be having a talk from Transport for London to further support their transition to Secondary School.

Please remember that medication for those going to Bournemouth can be brought into school after school on Friday. Please meet staff in the Key Stage 2 hall.

Good luck to the Year 5 and 6 Athletics team who are representing the school in the borough Quad Kids tournament at the stadium on Tuesday afternoon.


Good luck also to the netball team, who play Rainham Village School on Thursday.

Dojo League Champions!

Reading Star Champions!

There was lots of reading going on at Clockhouse last term and this has certainly continued as we have moved into the new term.

Each time the children get three signatures in their Home School Learning Diaries, they receive a star, the child with the most stars in each class at the end of the term is the class Reading Star and they receive a certificate and a book (for more reading)!
