Weekly reminders for week beginning 21st September 2015

Another good week was had at Clockhouse last week with, as always, a lot going on! Thank you in for your support whilst the new gates have been installed. We are sure that you will agree they look fabulous. If you do need to come onto the site during the school day please buzz the buzzer by the pedestrian gate and wait to be let in. When the office staff give you access you then need to push the gate.

We look forward to having our Reception children stay all day from Monday and welcoming some of our new Nursery children during the week. It was lovely to see so many Nursery children and families attend the open stay and play day last Thursday.

Thank you to all those people who have come to spend Ready, Steady Read time with their children, the more the merrier!

Thank you also for the support given to Jeans for Genes day. We will let you know how much we have raised for this worthwhile charity once the counting has been completed.

Year 4
Year 4 are excited to welcome the Freshwater Theatre Company on Thursday. They will be working with the children to develop their understanding of the Victorian Era.

Year 6
Booster classes begin this week for Year 6. All those invited should have had letters. Children should arrive at school by 8.15 and no earlier than 8.10 in the morning. Children need to come in through the main entrance in Key Stage 2 and wait in the Chill Out Area. Toast and hot chocolate will be provided after the sessions and before the start of school for those children who wish to have breakfast.

On Thursday, we are also looking forward to welcoming lots of parents / careers from Year 6 to our first Learn with my Child event of the year. The morning will start at 9.30 and finish at 11.45am. Please come for as little or as much as you can.

We have our first football match of the new school year on Wednesday. The team are playing at home against Rise Park. Please come along and support.

Please look out for the first newsletter of the new school year which will be coming out this week.

Mrs Edgar and Mrs Ayling will be holding a MacMillan Coffee Morning on Friday for parents / carers. There will be lots of lovely cakes kindly donated by staff as well as the chance for parents and carers to have a chat and get to know each other. This will take place in the Parents Room in Key Stage 1.

As always we thank you for your continued support in all we do.

Have a good week everyone!
