Victory for the boys football team!

Clockhouse boys football team started their league campaign last Tuesday with an emphatic 4-1 win over Dame Tipping.

Charlie B had a first half to remember netting the bal twice to give Clockhouse a well deserved 2-0 half time lead that could of been a lot more if it was not for the Dame Tipping keeper.

In the second half Clockhouse continued to show their dominance scoring 2 more goals thanks to Bradley S.  Dame Tipping  got a consolation goal against the run of play and Charlie B had his hat trick goal disallowed for hand ball.

On the whole Clockhouse showed a fantastic team performance from defence to attack. The year 5 boys Callum L and Bobby B were also very creative in the goals.

Well done everyone including those who took the time to cheer the boys on - thank you!

Clockhouse get to Quarter Finals

Last Tuesday Clockhouse took part in the Havering Netball Competition. After a very slow start and a 1-0 defeat to Ardleigh Green Junior School, Clockhouse had to win the remainder of their games to get out of a tough group. A dominant contest in the middle and defensive third gave Clockhouse their first win  1-0 against Elm Park Primary School. Clockhouse put in a hard working performance to get their 2nd 1-0 victory this time over last year's runners up Upminster Junior School. Our final group game required a win to get us through to the knockout stages. This time it all fell into place for Clockhouse and we won 3-0, with captain Daisie scoring a hat trick.

In the quarter final we lost narrowly to Harold Wood Primary School in a game played at a fast pace. Considering this was the first time Clockhouse have ever played High 5 netball we did very well to get out of a tough group.

Well done everyone as always we are very proud of you all. Thank you to all those that ensured the children were able to take part.

Tag Rugby success!

Yesterday Clockhouse welcomed St Peters from the South Weald for three tag rugby encounters. Due to the schools tag rugby success in recent years more schools, from further a field, are interested in playing us. St Peters brought three strong sides to Clockhouse, who in turn showed our great strength in depth to produce three equally good sides.

Clockhouse were able to finish with an amazing three wins, meaning that we have now played four different sports since returning to school and are yet to taste defeat. This in itself an amazing achievement!!

In the first game Clockhouse Blue Tags convincingly St Peters C Team 20 tries to 5. Stand out performances from Alfie P and  Rosie K made sure of an emphatic victory.

Game 2 saw the most nail biting of encounters with Clockhouse Red Tags winning 25-24 with a try in the last play of the game from Casey E. Gracie-May H led by example, with George R putting in a hard working performance.

The final match saw Clockhouse Yellow Tags complete the full house with a win over St Peters A Team 23 - 14. After  a slow start, Clockhouse took a narrow lead into half time. But as we grew in confidence during the second half the tempo of the game sped up and Clockhouse began to dictate the game. Every player in the Clockhouse Yellow Tags managed to score at least one try but the girls led the way with School Captain Caitlin M and Summer S top scoring on the day.

Thank you to all the players, teachers and parents from St Peters and Clockhouse for playing a big part in a great occasion, it is rare to have three home fixtures being played on the same day at the same time.

Victory for the girls football team!

The girls football team played their first game of their league campaign last night against a hard working Harold Wood team.

It was a nervous start but as Clockhouse settled into the game they slowly took control with Caitlin M opening the scoring. Harold Wood continued to press on but Clockhouse scored goal number two through Shannon I to put the game out of the visitors reach.  Final score 2-0 which currently puts us top of the league!

A great start girls, keep it up!

Sporting news - Dodge ball and Netball

Dodge ball
Well done to the Year 3 and 4 children who represented the school at a Dodge Ball Tournament at Sacred Heart School this morning. This is the first time we have entered a team in this competition and the children did us proud winning matches against Parklands,  Newtons and Upminster Juniors. Well done to everyone who played, despite the journey all children had lots of fun and represented the school well.

Netball
In tonight's netball friendly Clockhouse travelled to Towers. In a nervous opening period the teams were separated only thanks to some fantastic shooting from Gracie-May who teamed up well with Captain Daisie. The middle of the game was a close encounter with Towers doing well to come back and tie the score. But the last period was dominated by Clockhouse with the final score being a well deserved 14 - 9. Scorers were Gracie-May (7), Daisie (2), Caitlin M (2) and Shannon I (2). Well done to everyone who took part!
