The Dojo League

The Dojo League!

The Dojo League has continued this week with lots of positive dojo awards being received!

The dojo scores have been analysed and the results are in!

Reception and Key Stage 1:
A big well done to Scotland, Wales, Italy and Mexico who currently top the Dojo League. Canada are just behind them in second place with France in third.

Key Stage 2:
A big well done to Kenya and South Africa who are currently in the overall lead of the Key Stage 2 Dojo League with  Argentina  in second place and Libya and Australia in third.

Well done to everyone for really trying to earn Dojos for their class.

The attendance winners this week are...

Well done to everyone for trying really hard to ensure the children's attendance has been sustained this week but we MUST still keep working on this! Remember:

Great attendance leads to 
great learning and progress!

Congratulations to the three classes below who are our winners for this week - keep it up!

A big well done to this weeks winners who are:

France - 98.62%
Argentina - 100%
Australia - 98.33%

Well done Argentina who will receive prizes in Achievement Assembly next week for their attendance being above 99%. A huge well done also for their 100% attendance an amazing achievement. Finally well done to Australia who win for a second week in a row - great news!

A further well done to Italy, USA and Peru who have not had any children arriving late to school this week! Can we get some more classes next week?

Whole school attendance currently stands at

 95.4%!

Well done everyone and thank you all for your continued support in ensuring that the
children come to school everyday and on time!

It is still important that we all work to improve our attendance. 
Please remember that our school target is 96%.

Condover Hall update

The children have all had a good nights sleep. They are up and packing their bags ready to leave Condover Hall this morning to visit the Victorian Village.

They have breakfast and 7.30am and are leaving at 9am.

Lots more photos will be online shortly and we will keep you informed of their day including the journey home.

Condover Hall update

The children have had a great day at Condover Hall today. They have completed lots of different activities including fencing, archery, orienteering and laser maze. They have had chicken and rice for dinner as well as delicious cheesecake! The children have enjoyed planning and playing giant Cluedo this evening. They are all quite tired and as a result are safely tucked up in bed, ready for their day exploring the Victorian Village tomorrow. They are having a fabulous time and enjoying every minute as are the staff! This will be the final update tonight.

Breakfast is at 7.30am and they will be leaving Condover Hall at 9am. We will update you in the morning with lots more pictures of the children.

Condover Hall update

The children have had a good night and they are all fine. They are all up, breakfast is at 7.30am and then activities start at 9am, they have 5 activities to complete today. They are all having lots of fun and are looking forward to the day ahead.

Condover Hall update

All is going well at Condover Hall, the children have completed the Egg Protector Game this evening and are now back at base and off to bed. They are having a fabulous time and enjoying every minute as are the staff! This will be the final update tonight.

Breakfast is at 7.30am and we will update you in the morning with lots of pictures of the children.


Condover Hall update

The Year 5 children are having a fabulous time. They have all completed their first activity which was one of archery, orienteering, low ropes, lazer maze or team challenge. They have had dinner - burger and chips or noodles followed by fruit.

They are now off to do their evening activities.

The Year 5 children have arrived safely at Condover Hall. They are having a wonderful time, are settling in and are all happy. They had a welcome meeting at 3 o'clock and start their first activity at 4.15pm.

Weekly reminders for week beginning 25th April 2016

Thank you also to the Parents and families who joined us on Monday for Uganda's and Mexico's celebration assemblies, we are sure you will agree they were a lovely occasion and we look forward to seeing more of you at these events during the term.

St. George's Day
Hopefully you all received the letter about St.George's day, which as you know was on Saturday. We will be celebrating on Monday and ask that for a small donation the children come to school dressed in red and white. Children in Year 5 going to Condover Hall do not have to come to school dressed in red and white.

Kenya and Canada
Kenya and Canada continue this years round of Celebration Assemblies on Monday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year. Both assemblies promise to be a wonderful occasion if the efforts that the children have put into practising are anything to go by.

Year 5
We all hope that Year 5 have a fabulous time at Condover Hall. Please remember to meet your group leader in the canteen on Monday morning. The children will be departing at 10am promptly if you wish to wave them off. Updates about the trip will be on the school blog and website as well as being by the main office door.

Year 4
We look forward to welcoming our Year 4 parents for Learn with my Child on Thursday morning at 9.30am. The morning will finish at 11.45am. Please come for as little or as much as you can. Regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.


Sport
Good luck to the boys football team who play Towers Junior at home on Tuesday.

Weekly reminders for week beginning 18th April 2016

It was lovely to welcome the children and families back to school last week and hear all about the holidays that had been had.

We have another busy week ahead at Clockhouse with a lot going on.

Uganda and Mexico
Uganda and Mexico start this years round of Celebration Assemblies on Monday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year. Both assemblies promise to be a wonderful occasion if the efforts that the children have put into practising are anything to go by. 
Uganda - 9am (Key Stage 2 Hall)
Mexico - 2.45pm (Key Stage 1 Hall)

Starsnappers - Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
We are very excited to welcome Starsnappers again to Clockhouse. They came to school recently to work with Year 4 and 5 and the children loved developing their digital photography skills. Morning Nursery and Year 1 will welcome them on Monday,  Afternoon Nursery and Year 2 on Tuesday and Reception on Wednesday. Other year groups are to follow throughout the rest of the year.

Year 5
Year 5 are off to the Ragged School on Wednesday. Please ensure that consent forms are returned by Monday so that the children can go on this trip, without which they will not be permitted to go.

Year 2
Year 2 are off to Colchester Zoo on Friday. Please ensure that, if you have not done so already, consent forms are returned to the Year 2 class teachers by Wednesday to ensure that the children can participate.

Sport
Good luck to the Year 5 and 6 Basketball team who take part in a borough competition on Tuesday. Good luck also to the Netball team who play Towers Junior away on Wednesday and to the Tag Rugby team who have a match at home on Friday.

The Dojo league has once again started with lots of 100% this week!

The dojo scores have been analysed and the results are in!

Reception and Key Stage 1:
A big well done to  Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Italy, Canada and Mexico who currently top the Dojo League. USA are just behind them in second place with Spain and France in third.

Key Stage 2:
A big well done to Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Kenya, South Africa  and Australia who are currently in the overall lead of the Key Stage 2 Dojo League with  Japan in second place and Libya, Uganda, Fiji and New Zealand in third.

Well done to everyone for really trying to earn Dojos for their class.

Reading Star Champions

We have been delighted to see lots of reading happening this term and to reward the following children for the commitment they have shown to improving their reading!

The children have all had a lovely day although a bit wet. They are due back at approximately 3.40pm at the moment.

Weekly reminders for week beginning 11th April 2016

Welcome back to the Summer Term everyone!

We all hope that you have had a fantastic Easter Holiday and enjoyed lots of time with family and friends as well as lots of chocolate! Thank you to all the parents and families who came into school during the last week of term to support their children and the staff, we really are grateful and it was lovely to welcome so many of you into school.

As you are aware we are back to school tomorrow (11th April) and are looking forward to seeing everyone bright and early! This term we are really going to be focusing on punctuality so do please make sure that the children arrive on time everyday!

Please ensure that all the children return to school with all the necessary equipment they require - full P.E. kits, water bottles, coats, home learning, reading books and anything else they need. Please can we also remind you of the importance of full school uniform (no nail varnish) and that this along with coats are clearly named.

Year 4
Year 4 are off to London Zoo on Friday, please make sure money and permission slips are in school by Wednesday.

Sport
Good luck to the Netball team who play St. Peters at home on Wednesday. Please come along and support is you can spare 5 minutes.
