Teachers have been busy making appointments for everyone, so if, as yet, you do not have an appointment please contact your child's class teacher on Monday to make arrangements for a meeting. There will be a questionnaire for parents to complete whilst you are waiting. We do appreciate that this takes time but your feedback is invaluable to us as we continually strive to improve the educational experience we provide for the children and families we serve.

Clockhouse explode into netball league action to top table!

Today Clockhouse kicked off their netball league campaign in emphatic style with a 13 - 2 victory over St Peters, to send Clockhouse top of the table.

After a poor warm up and a slow start Clockhouse sprung into life and dominated every aspect of the fixture. St Peters did well to capitalise on Clockhouse switching off and leaving players unmarked to score there two baskets.

But credit must go to the Clockhouse team who were led in a mature way by captain Gracie H who grabbed herself 4 of the Clockhouse points whilst also playing out of position for 10 minutes. Her help to motivate her peers was so passionate and a credit to the school. As the team continue to build, players continue to grow and the speed of the Clockhouse game gets ever quicker. Great performances tonight include Beth C, Kayleigh M, Bobby B, Rosie K, and Sophie L. There was also an impressive debut for Emma F.. Paris K also took another step to improving her defensive game.

Other scorers included Callum L, Charlie B x 2, and Year 4 Lily S-E who scored 6 goals as she continues to impress. Lily's movement off the ball to loose her marker who was a very tall, athletic Year 6 girl was fantastic.

A great effort played with Clockhouse passion! I look forward to seeing the squad at netball practise next week. Well done team!!!

Player of the Match - Lily S-E

Clockhouse Get GOLD!

It is with great pleasure that we can announce that Clockhouse Primary School has been awarded the Gold School Games Mark for our excellent PE and extracurricular provision. Over the past 4 years Clockhouse have climbed the ladder starting with a bronze, then spending 2 years at silver, before finally being awarded the highest accreditation.
Clockhouse become only the 5th school in the whole of the Borough of Havering to receive this accolade. To achieve this award we had to meet some rigorous criteria including providing leadership opportunities through sport, working with a number of local clubs to form links, and provide opportunities for ALL children to participate in sport.
In addition to providing leadership and external opportunities Clockhouse had to offer a certain percentage of children extracurricular opportunities. Our data shows that over 75% of our children attend clubs. Furthermore, the school had to enter a certain number of tournaments and festivals whilst also compiling a huge fixture list in a range of sports where we proved to be very successful.
Finally we had to ensure our children were being offered a minimum of 2 hours physical activity a week in curriculum time, that engaged all aspects and levels of learning, whilst also monitoring the growth of our pupils recording levels where appropriate.
The process to achieve a Gold School Games Mark for PE was not easy and huge thanks and congratulations have to go to Mr Yarrow for all that he has done for sport at Clockhouse - he has certainly put us on the map!

As we mentioned earlier, only 5 schools in a Borough of over 80 schools have achieved this Mark, and this is credit to our hard working and dedicated pupils and parents. Thank you and well done to everyone for your help in making Clockhouse a well known sporting success!

Clockhouse netball team suffer narrow defeat but learn so much in the process.

On Friday the new look Clockhouse netball team took a trip to Brentwood to play a very strong St Peters Netball Side.

Clockhouse used the game as a learning curve with many new faces representing the school before openning our league campaign next week.

Clockhouse started brightly and netball captain Gracie H put Clockhouse ahead finding the hoop for her first of six scores on the day. Lily S-E scored Clockhouse's other hoop, and playing throughout with a maturity beyond her years.

Clockhouse moved  the ball around well and looked particularly comfortable in the attacking third. That being said it was the Clockhouse defence that deserves a lot of praise, a totally new look defence with all players making their school debuts and impressing under a baptism of fire.

As we move forward we will look to inject a lot more pace into our game whilst remaining in control and also working hard with marking and footwork.

Final Score St Peters 9 - 7 Clockhouse

A strong start for a new look team that will continue to grow in confidemce as we look towards the High 5 competition and our first league game.

WELL DONE TO EVERYONE ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO REPRESENTED THE SCHOOL FOR THE FIRST TIME AND GRACIE H WHO LED BY EXAMPLE THROUGHOUT!

Onwards and upwards!!!

Player of the Match - Lily S-E
