Weekly reminders for week beginning 1st October 2018

We have had another good week at Clockhouse and are already looking forward to what the next week has in store.

Thank you to all those parents who are really practising the children's reading and spellings with them at home as well as number bond, times tables and completing home learning. We are really seeing the difference in school. Please do remember to fill in their Learning Diaries to provide teachers with feedback.

Harvest Festival
On Monday we will be having our annual Harvest Festival with the children. If you have any tins or non perishables to send in please do so. The food bank is always grateful for what we give to them.

Year 6
We look forward to welcoming our Year 6 parents for Learn with my Child on Thursday morning at 9.10 am. Please come for as little or as much as you can. Regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.

Special Dinner for all
Please remember that we have a special dinner day on Thursday, it would be really good to get as many people as possible having dinner on Thursday as this determines some of our schools funding. We really do appreciate your help in this matter.

Sport

Good luck to the Year 2 Football Team who take part in a tournament on Tuesday.

As part of our life skills curriculum, this term Year 3 are learning how to fold their clothes. We had lots of fun learning this skill last week and hopefully the children are now showing this at home! Please send us any pictures!

Year 4 Egyptian Day

Year 4 had a great day learning about The Egyptians. They all dressed up and spent time finding our about Egyptian life and how the Egyptians lived. The children were very excitied to work with am 'Egyptian' and will be able to use their learning throughout their current theme.

Look who came to visit Year 1

Year 1 had some very special visitors yesterday when they were joined by 3 police officers and their police dogs.

They loved hearing all about how their work and how they use thier senses so cleverly. They were so sensible and asked lots of good questions to find out more information.

Well done Year 1!
