Weekly reminders for week beginning 30th November

Well as we all know last week was not the best week for Clockhouse, but your support and lovely messages made it all that bit easier. We keep going this week and making the best of the siuation. Together we will  get through it.

As we move further through the term and December hitting on Tuesday, this week we are really going to get into Christmas at Clockhouse.

The school is taking shape and the children certainly enjoyed the challenge of decorating it on Friday! But do not worry if you were at home this week, there will be plenty of time to decision rate when you return.

We look forward to welcoming France back on Friday!

Winston's Winter Wonderland
This week the children will meet the character Winston, a little mouse, from a book will become a very special at Clockhouse as we move through the month of December. Even if they are not in school they will still get to meet him. Each week up until Christmas we have lots of lovely things planned which will be integrated into the children's learning. We hope this will ensure that the children have the best time possible in the lead up to the big day.

Weekly reminders for week beginning 16th November 2020

Well our annual Remembrance Service, although different to normal years, provided us with a great opportuniity to remember. We hope you enjoyed our video of this which also showed you what we got up to during Best of British Week. As always, the children were outstanding during our Remembrance Day Service and showed the upmost respect, whether they were laying poppies or were in classrooms. It was wonderful to see the whole school community come together virtually for this. Thank you for the lovely comments regarding the poppy displays and the video.

Thank you to you all for your overwhelming support and generosity for the very worthy cause that is Children in Need, there was certainly some fabulous spotty outfits. As soon as we have done all the counting we will let you know how much we raised!

Thank you also for your overwhelmingly positive feedback your gave to use in the questionnaire we sent out. We are busy looking at this and will communicate our overall findings with you in the near furture.

School Photographs
Following the letter that came out last week, please remember that individual school photographs will be taken on Thursday 19th November. This will all be done in a Covid safe way. Weekly reminders for week beginning 9th November 2020

We hope the children enjoyed Best of British week and the children were excited to come home and talk to you about this. We also hope they enjoyed the challenge of No Pen Thursday! Thank you for your responses to the questionnaire as well as your positive feedback from Parents' Evening. We hope you found the meetings useful and were proud to hear what the teachers had to say.

Remembrance Day
On Wednesday we will be holding our annual Remembrance Day Service. Although this will look slightly different to last year we still felt it important to recognise this. Look out for the displays on the school fence as always. The children have certainly been working hard with them. Please do send in photos of your poppies displayed in windows at home for us all to see!

Children In Need
On Friday, we are once again supporting the very worthy cause of Children in Need whose theme this year is 'Together we can'. Together we will come together by wearing spots. In doing so we will be having a non-uniform day where we will be showing our support by coming dressed in something spotty (a small donation in the bucket is all that is needed)! Should your child have PE on this day, they can still wear something spotty for the day but will still be doing PE. Please keep this in mind when deciding what your child will wear. All donations received for this will be sent to Children in Need. Please help us support this worthy cause!
