Clockhouse Weekly Wow

Here is last week's Weekly Wow and as usual there were a lot of things to 'wow' about last week.

Time to CELEBRATE - Value Champion Alert!

We are very excited and pleased to share with you that we have more Clockhouse Value Champions of 2023-2024!

A huge congratulations to

Eugen R and Andrew G (Fiji)

who has earned the Nurture Champion Award for 2023-2024!

Wow, these two! What a pair! The boys have been working together recently quite a bit and they have formed the most wonderful bond. Andrew is helping to teach Eugen English and in return Eugen is teaching Andrew and his adults Russian! They have built up a wonderful bond. Calling each other buddies and helping each other without prompting.  Eugen now leaves school saying well done to Andrew and even told Andrew's Mum how well he has done at school - communicating is something Eugen finds tricky so it is wonderful to see him push himself out of his comfort zone.
I believe they are both helping each other and it really is lovely to see. It may have even brought a tear to my eye.

Noah B (South Africa)

who has earned the Respect Champion Award for 2023-2024!

This person has made a fantastic start to year 4!  He has impressed me so much with his mature and sensible behaviour for learning.  He is always the first person to show that he is ready, he listens carefully at all times, and  is polite and respectful to all of the adults at school, as well as being kind and helpful to his classmates.  Well done for being such a great role model to your peers Noah, keep it up!

A huge well done from everyone at Clockhouse - wear your Values Champion Badge with pride!

This week the following Clockhouse Citizens have been seen to going 'Beyond the Possible':

Year 6 - Harry J (New Zealand) for going beyond the possible through his perseverance and hard work in all of his lessons.

Weekly reminders for week beginning 18th September 2023

Another good week was had at Clockhouse last week. Many year groups enjoyed their Stunning Starter last week and got themselves fully immersed in their new theme!

I have to say the children have been nothing short of amazing since returning to school and we continue to be thankful to work with such a supportive community. It was lovely to welcome our new Reception children and many of our new Nursery children to Clockhouse last week and like the rest of our new children, they have settled so well.

Meet the Teacher
Thank you to all those who came to Meet the Teacher last week. We enjoyed meeting you and hope you found it useful. Meet the Teacher continues this week. Teachers will be in classrooms straight after school and available until 4pm. Please do come and say hello and see your child's classroom. This week is as follows:
Tuesday 19th September - Reception
Wednesday 20th September - Year 4
Thursday 21st September - Year 1

School Nurse Drop In
Should you wish to speak to the School Nurse she will be available for you to 'drop in' on Tuesday 2.30pm - 3.30pm. Please call the Key Stage 2 Office to book a slot or just drop in.

Jean's Day
Friday will once again be the day where we honour and remember Mrs O'Connor with Jean’s Day. Mrs O'Connor was our former Librarian and Midday Supervision, who suddenly passed away in August 2022. Her favourite colour was purple / lilac so we are asking our Clockhouse family to wear something of this colour in her honour along with non-uniform (PE will continue on this day).

Sport
Good luck to the Year 5 and 6 boys football team who take part in a Borough competition on Thursday.

Things to be aware of
We are having a big push on tucking shirts in and taking pride in our appearance. The children are getting very good at this and thank them and you for your support in this. This also includes ensuring the children come to school in the correct PE uniform on PE Days, please help us with this.
