Fantastic news

We are very proud to tell you that no less than 196 children from Nursery through to Year 6 achieved 100% attendance this term, a truly magnificent achievement! This is  20 more children than in the Spring term and 30 more than in the Autumn Term.

Can we beat this next year?

We are also very proud to tell you that there are 38 children throughout the whole school who have had 100% attendance for the whole school year, a truly fantastic achievement!

Well done to you all, keep it up!

Football news

Well done to the Year 6 boys Football team who played Parklands Junior School at home on Friday.

This was the children's last match representing Clockhouse and we are pleased to tell you that they finished in spectacular style winning 5-1!

Weekly reminders for the week beginning 21st July 2014

Well after what must have been the busiest week at Clockhouse of the whole year, the last three days is a little quieter.

On behalf of all at Clockhouse, we thank you for your amazing support last week, we hope you enjoyed all the different events as much as we all did, the children were certainly delighted to welcome you all to school for so many different things. Thank you to all those that have sent in Sponsor Money for the Sponsored Walk, your response has been truly overwhelming!

On Monday we look forward to our final Sports Days of the year, after the postponement of Foundation Stage Sports Day earlier on in July we look forward to welcoming you all to cheer the children on tomorrow (Monday)! 9.30 - Reception, 10.30 - AM Nursery, 2.15 - PM Nursery. As previously arranged, please send the children to school in Sports Wear.

On Monday also we look forward to welcoming families of the Year 2 children for their end of theme Circus Celebration as 2.30pm. On Tuesday Year 3 will be putting on their end of theme Fashion Show for families at 2.30pm also.

Year 6 parents will need their tissues at the ready for the Year 6 Leavers Assembly on Tuesday at 9.15am. Parents are invited for refreshments in the School Canteen with the Year 6 staff after the event on Tuesday.

Also on Tuesday, Year 4 are being visited by Pets at Home. A letter will be coming out about this tomorrow (Monday).

Please look out for the July and final newsletter of the year this week.

Please remember that as Wednesday is the last day of term, the children can come to school in non-uniform.

Finally from all at Clockhouse we wish you a happy summer holiday starting on Thursday and thank you for the support you have given us this year in all we have tried to achieve for the good of the children and the community we serve.

We look forward to welcoming you  back on Thursday 4th September, here is to a good 2014 / 2015!

The Dojo League

The weeks Dojo League update!

2HF continue to have the overall lead in the Dojo League, with 3LW, 5KS and 2CL three points behind them in second place.

Well done to these classes and everyone else for really trying to earn Dojos for their class.

Keep going, final results will be announced on Wednesday, in time for a reward the same day!

We are sure that you will all agree the children had a great time and did a marvelous job.

Parents v Staff Netball

Thank you to all those parents, staff and children who took part and supported the match yesterday evening..

Well done to everyone who took part and thank you for playing the match in the spirit in which it was meant.

The final score was 22-2 to the parents, a well deserved victory with some excellent play!

Status Quo visit Clockhouse

Yesterday, all the children in Key Stage 2 enjoyed a visit from Status Quo drummer Jeff Rich.

It was a wonderful experience and enjoyed by everyone.

A huge well done to all of Year 5 and 6 who truly put on a show to remember both this afternoon and this evening.

You were all fantastic and all played a huge part in making such a success of this years production.

Open Evening - today

Do not forget that it is Open Evening after school today. Please come into school anytime between 3.30 and 5 to look at the children's work and meet the teachers. Please also take the time to look around the school and visit your child's new classroom, their current teacher will be able to point you in the right direction.

Parents v Staff Football

Thank you to all those parents, staff and children who took part and supported the match on Friday.

Well done to everyone who took part and thank you for playing the match in the spirit in which it was meant.

The final score was 5-1 to the staff (past and present) but the parents certainly never gave up and the children and supporters thoroughly enjoyed it!

Reminders for week beginning 14th July 2014

Firstly may we apoloigse for any inconvenience caused by having to postpone the Foundation Stage Sports Day. The weather was certainly against us on Friday and we were left with no choice but to postpone. Here is hoping that the sun shines on Monday 21st July when we have planned for the Nursery and Reception events will go ahead.

We certainly have a busy week ahead of us and are looking forward to welcoming many of you to Clockhouse during the coming week.

On Monday the children will be taking part in the Sponsored Walk event, a favourite in years gone by but something that we have not done for a while. The children will come home with a card showing you the laps they completed so that sponsor money can be gathered or it can be kept as a memento for the day. If the children have managed to get any sponsors, please send these into school and thank you for your support.

3KK and RSO complete the final Celebration Assemblies of the year on Monday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year. The assemblies promise to be a wonderful occasion if the efforts that the children have put into practising are anything to go by.

The children will be meeting their new teachers on Tuesday morning and spending the morning in their new classrooms. We  also look forward to welcoming the families of out Year 5 and 6 stars on Tuesday for their performance of 'Back in Time'. Please be aware that performances will start promptly at 1.30pm and 7pm.

On Wednesday the Key stage 2 children will be taking part in a drumming workshop run by the Status Quo drummer Jess Rich, the Year 6 children have their Leavers Lunch and in the afternoon we look froward to welcoming families again to the Key Stage 2 Sports Day - here is hoping the weather is kind to us.

Year  5 parents please remember that we are holding the meeting for the current Year 5 children's transfer to Secondary School on Wednesday evening in the Key Stage 2 hall at 6pm. This is run by the Borough and provides information to support you with the transition process.

Year 6 compete in the annual Mr Len Cup on Thursday morning in memory of our Caretaker. Year 5 compete on Friday with the final being played in the afternoon.

On Thursday afternoon we look froward to welcoming families again to the Key Stage 1 Sports Day - here is hoping the weather is kind to us once again!

Good luck to the Year 5 and 6 cricket team who have a match against Elm Park after school on Thursday followed by the Year 6 leavers disco in the Key Stage 2 hall.

4LJ and 4AK are off to Abbots Hall Farm for the day on Thursday and Friday respectively, please make sure consent slips are returned before the day.

On Friday we have the  Foundation Stage Pirates and Princesses Fun Day to look forward to, do not forget the fancy dress costumes!

Finally the Year 6 boys football team play Parklands at Clockhouse in their final match for the school on Friday!

Clockhouse and the Big Dance

Well done to the Year 4 and 5 dancers who took part in the Big Dance at the Queens Theatre on Friday.

They all had a fantastic time and enjoyed every minute, we also received some lovely comments about our children from the public.

Cricket news

A big well done to the school Cricket Team, who took part in a borough competition on Wednesday.

We are delighted to announce that the team remained undefeated throughout the tournament winning all the matches except for one which they tied!

What an achievement! We are all very proud of you and thank you to the coaches and supporters who came along and cheered the team on.

Clockhouse compete at London Youth Games

A huge well done to our Year 5 and 6 Gym Team who took part in the Key Step 3 Gymnastics competition. Clockhouse went to the London Youth Games to represent Havering and compete against 29 other London Boroughs.

The children had to compete in three disciplines - Vault, Body Management and Floor.
They competed perfectly as a team. They were consistent throughout whilst enjoying every second of the competition, having trained 4 times a week for the last two months (in their own time).

We could not be prouder to announce that we came an amazing 5th

This truly is amazing and well done to everyone who took part including their coaches and their supporters!

The children have all had a wonderful day at La Boheme and are on the way back. They are due back at school between 4.45 and 5pm.

Reminders for week beginning 7th July

Thank you to all those parents and families who joined us for the Creative Arts Event last Wednesday. We were overwhelmed with the response we received so thank you. We are sure you will agree we certainly do have some talented children (and teachers) at Clockhouse.

3SG and RLS continue with this years Celebration Assemblies on Monday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year. The assemblies promise to be a wonderful occasion if the efforts that the children have put into practising are anything to go by.

Year 6 are off to The Royal Opera House on Monday to see La Boheme. If consent forms have not yet been returned please ensure that the children come to school with these on Monday.

Good luck to the Cricket Team who are off to Royal Liberty for the borough Cricket Tournament on Wednesday. We also look forward to welcoming our Year 1 parents on Wednesday morning for a 'Learn with my Child' event.

Friday brings the Foundation Stage Sports Day.
