Hot Chocolate with the Head

As we all know, Hot Chocolate with the Head is an important part of Clockhouse. Obviously due to the current situation we find ourselves in, sadly it is not possible for us to come together to celebrate which is such a shame. However, we do not want the children to miss out and therefore the chosen children will get a special Hot Chocolate pack to enjoy at home!

As you all know we are constantly striving to improve Clockhouse for your children.

This year we are all 'Going the extra mile' to ensure our school is a fabulous place to be. Each week, the Heads of Year as well as Miss Ward, Mrs Reinecke and Mrs Savidge choose a person (child or adult) who has been seen to do this! We hope all the children enjoy their hot chocolate pack - send us a picture of you enjoying your special celebration drink!

This week the following Clockhouse Citizens have been seen to be 'Going the extra mile':

Nursery - Colby V for being such an enthusiastic boy in the Nursery this year and making very good progress with his learning.
Reception - Mandy S (Northern Ireland) for always trying her very best and being kind to others.
Year 1 - Mahi R (France) for always setting an example of putting in 100% effort into her work.
Year 2 - Mrs Jackson and Mrs Richards for always helping the Year 2 teachers during challenging times.
Year 3 - Daria L (Brazil) for being a positive role model and always being ready to help her peers and the staff.
Year 4 - Frankie E (Kenya) for working hard and trying really hard to be a positive role model for others.
Year 5 - Henry G (India) for an amazing effort with his DT project at home
Year 6 - Mantas C (New Zealand) for his amazing effort and resilience in creating his Pop Art inspired artwork.
Miss Ward - Jah-Kai L (Greenland) for stepping out of his comfort zone and showing trust in the adults.
Mrs Reinecke - Fabio R (New Zealand) for demonstrating fantastic sportsmanship during the Mr Len Cup.
Mrs Savidge - Freddie J (Fiji) for stepping out of his comfort zone and fully embracing Year 6 Activity Week.

Well done to all these children and all the other children who have been seen to be 'Going the extra mile' this week!

Our treats are ready to go and we are looking forward to Hot Chocolate Friday next week to celebrate with more fantastic Clockhouse people!

Medieval Stew in Year 2

In Design Technology. Year 2 had a great time making Medieval Stew and part of their learning about Castles and Knights.

They really had to develop their skills of chopping, slicing and mixing.

They even enjoyed eating their creations!

Carnival Time in Year 4

Year 4 had a great fabulous finish to their learning all about the rainforest with a wonderful carnival!

They also managed to do two of the hundred things to do before leaving Clockhouse by having a picnic and by eating something that they had grown. They enjoyed their cress!

All involved certainly had a great time.

Let's go to the Seaside

Due to the restrictions Year 1 were not able to go to Southend this year, but that did not stop us.

They had a great time at their fabulous finish to their Seaside theme when the beach came to them on Friday.

Doesn't it look fun!
