Weekly reminders for week beginning 5th July 2021

Well last week was a very busy week at Clockhouse - just the way we like it!

Thank you to everyone for getting involved in the SumDog competition and also for support Orange Day in aid of St. Francis Hospice, Clockhouse certainly became orange!

Well done to all the children for Clocking the Miles. The challenge is now complete and we did achieve our goal and beat Mr Pye. Please do send sponsor money in as soon as you can. We have been overwhelmed by your support so far, thank you so, so much!

Following the success of the 'A week in the life of...' videos, we launched another of these last week. If you have not yet seen it, you can view 'A week in the life of Year 1' by clicking on the links below:

End of Year Questionnaire - please help us help you!
Thank you to all those who have completed the end of year questionnaire, which provides us with some great information about the school. If you have not done so already, please do take the time to complete it by following the link below (you have until Friday 11th July to complete it):

School Reports
Please be aware that your child's annual school report will be coming out via Dojo after school on Monday. If you would like a paper copy please do let the school office know.

You will notice that unlike last year, we have taken the decision to provide your child’s attendance and punctuality recorded on the report for you. Please do be aware that Covid related absences do not count against attendance and therefore percentages might seem higher than you think they should be. Should you wish to discuss your child’s report with myself or the class teacher, arrangements for this will be communicated with you before the end of term.

Meet the Teacher
Due to the current situation the children are not able to meet their new teacher in the normal way that they would. Throughout this week the children will be zooming with their new teacher to find out what their new class and year group has in store.

As is the case with the reports, we are currently making arrangements for parents / carers to meet new teachers prior to the end of the term.

Celebration Assemblies
Well done to Scotland and Brazil for their Celebration Assemblies last week. We hope you enjoyed them from a far.

Good luck to Wales and Argentine who conclude our programme of Celebration Assemblies. Teachers will post these on Class Story / Google Classroom for you to see!

NHS Big Thank You Tea
Please remember that tomorrow (Monday) we will be thanking the NHS by having an afternoon tea. For £2 the children can come to school in non-uniform and enjoy cake and juice. This will be supplied by the school with all money raised going to the NHS. We thank you in advance for your support.

OPAL Loose Parts Collection
Following the letter which came out last week, if you have any loose parts, please remember that Wednesday is the day to bring them to school. Thank you in advance for you support.

OCA Thank You Day Sale
On Friday OCA will be hosting the Thank You Day Sale. In order to make their purchases, each class will be taken to the Outdoor Classroom to choose and buy the gift(s) of their choice. All items are £1.50 each. We ask that children bring a maximum of £3 each. Thank you in advance for your support.
