We are very excited and pleased to share with you our next Clockhouse Value Champion of 2025-2026!

A huge congratulations to

Avery R (Japan)

who has earned the Nurture Champion Award for 2025-2026! 

This pupil continues to follow the school values in all that she does and I have been impressed with her resilience as she always strives to achieve her best.  I would like to nominate this pupil for a nurture badge as she shows this in her actions in all areas of school life towards adults and peers.  What really struck me was the nurture and care she showed not only during school time but also outside of school hours.  Whilst in after school club, a new Reception child joined and this pupil went over to introduce herself, played with her and showed such care and kindness it really struck a chord with the adults that know her.  She then wrote a letter this pupil sharing how much she enjoyed spending time with her and that she was looking forward to playing with her again.  

Ezekiel O (Argentina)

who has earned the Excitement Champion Award for 2025-2026! 

This child shows a genuine excitement for learning and approaches every opportunity with enthusiasm and curiosity. He asks thoughtful questions to deepen his understanding and makes meaningful links to his prior learning. His passion for reading and dedication to practising his times tables is fantastic. It has also been wonderful to see his confidence continue to grow throughout the year. He should be very proud of all he has achieved. Well done and keep it up!

Cole C (France)

who has earned the Excitement Champion Award for 2025-2026! 

Cole is receiving the Excitement value badge for the wonderful interest and enthusiasm he showed at the Sea Life Centre. He embraced every opportunity to learn, eagerly exploring the exhibits and finding out more about the sea creatures we saw. His respectful behaviour and kindness towards members of the public helped make the day a great success.

Zander N (France)

who has earned the Excitement Champion Award for 2025-2026! 

Zander has earned the Excitement value badge for the enthusiasm and curiosity he showed during our trip to the Sea Life Centre. He was fully engaged throughout the day, asking thoughtful questions and taking time to carefully observe the amazing marine life we discovered. His excellent behaviour and polite manners made him a fantastic ambassador for our school.

Hot Chocolate with the Head

As you all know we are constantly striving to improve Clockhouse for your children. 

This year we are 'Relentless and Rigorous' in everything we do to ensure that our school is a fabulous place to be and the children get the best all round experience possible. Each week, the Heads of Year as well as Miss Ward, Mrs Abeledo and Mrs Savidge choose a person (child or adult) who has been seen to do this and then they get to have Hot Chocolate with Mrs Savidge!

This week the following Clockhouse Citizens have been seen to be 'Relentless and Rigorous':

Nursery - Tanveer S for being relentless and rigorous and always setting a good example.
Reception - Robert T (Scotland) for being relentless and rigorous and trying really hard with his learning.
Year 1 - Kaylen C-R (Spain) for being relentless and rigorous and showing great creativity in his learning whist doing his best to find connections between subjects.
Year 2 - George L (Mexico) for being relentless and rigorous in his learning by self editing and correctly his work. 
Year 3 - Daniel H (Brazil) for his relentless and rigorous attitude towards up levelling his writing. He has worked hard to include a range of prepositions in his writing.
Year 4 - Fabeha B (South Africa) for being relentless and rigorous and working hard on improving her sentence structure in English.
Year 5 -  Georgie C (Japan) for being relentless and rigorous in his approach to improving his writing and producing an excellent set of instructions in English.
Year 6 - Harold H and David M (New Zealand) because they are relentless and rigorous in ensuring they  both go out of their way every day to show manners and respect to the adults around them and they deserve recognition for this.
Greenland - Poppy S-R for being relentless and rigorous and showing a mature and resilient attitude in her final weeks at Clockhouse.
Miss Ward - Theo B (Japan) for being relentless and rigorous in trying to become more independent.  
Mrs Abeledo - Albie W (Australia) for being relentless and rigorous in everything he does.
Mrs Savidge - Sophie H (USA) for being relentless and rigorous in showing determination to improve her writing.

Year 6 - What a Team!

Well Year 6 you certainly finished their time at Clockhouse in style!

They really did work so hard all year and were rewarded with fabulous SATs results. They had a great time putting on their production, had a great day out in London, had a great time at Clockfest, made everyone cry at their Leavers Assembly and lots, lots more.

What a 8 years they have had with us and we could not be more proud of them.

Sponsored Walk 2026

The children, their families and the staff had a great time taking part in this year's Sponsored Walk event. Everyone showed great resilience, did not give up and completed their laps in style.

Thank you to everyone who supported on the day and from afar. Your presence and sponsorship is much appreciated by us all. Together you all managed to raise an amazing £1961.63 - thank you so much. This will be put towards subsidising the enrichment activities we proved for the children in order to make their learning even more memorable and fun!

Golden Letter of Success Summer 2026

A huge well done to all the children below who have received a Golden Letter of Success from Mrs Savidge. This was either for Outstanding Work, being an Outstanding Clockhouse Citizen or showing Outstanding Behaviour. If you have not received letters yet, they are on their way!

Weekly reminders for the week beginning 13th July 2026

And just like that we are in the last week of the term! Where has the year gone.

It was lovely to welcome you all into school last week for the different events I hope Early Years and Key Stage 1 enjoyed Sports Day. Thank you to the parents and families who joined us on the last week for the Celebration Assemblies of Brazil and Northern Ireland, we are sure you will agree they were a lovely occasion.

We hope you enjoyed reading your child's school report and were proud to read about their year. Please do send the feedback sheets back if you have not done so already. Also may I take this opportunity to thank all those who completed the online questionnaire. Your feedback is certainly very valuable to us!

So here we go with the final week...

Meet the Teacher
The children will be meeting their new teacher on Monday morning and spending time in their new classrooms. We are sure they are all very excited about this - the staff certainly are! 

Open Evening
Do not forget that it is Open Evening after school on Monday (with the exception of the current New Zealand - this is Wednesday), please come into school anytime between 3.30 and 5pm to look at the children's work and meet the teachers. Please also take the time to look around the school and visit your child's new classroom, their current teacher will be able to point you in the right direction. All new teachers will be in school to meet you.

Sports Days
On Tuesday morning (9.15am) we look forward to welcoming families to the Key Stage 2 Sports Day. Here is hoping the weather is kind to us! It does look like it is going to be hot, please ensure children have hats, water bottles and sun cream applied.

Year 2 and 3

Year 2 and 3 will be taking part on a French Storytelling Workshop on Tuesday afternoon. 

Year 6

Year 6 are very much looking forward to continuing with their Activity Week this week and they have lots of exciting things planned. Please speak to teachers if you have any questions. 

We are very much looking forward to welcoming the children back to school on Tuesday evening for ClockFest 2026!

We look forward to welcoming families to their Leavers Assembly on Thursday at 9.15am - tissues at the ready.

Governor Awards 2026

The Governors of the school have once again decided to give an award for a child from each class. A number of our governors came to school this morning to present the awards.

The award is for one child from each class who has done exceptionally well this year. This does not necessarily mean in terms of the academic progress they have made, it can also include such things as being a good Clockhouse Citizen, always trying their best, the list goes on and on!

Enterprise Day 2026

The children all had a wonderful time during our annual Enterprise Day.

Their entrepreneurial skills were certainly put to the test and they all did so well.

We are absolutely delighted to inform you that we raised a staggering £1221.26!

Your support was overwhelming and it is thanks to events like this that we can continue to enrich our curriculum for the good of your children in so many different ways. This includes visitors into school and subsidising trips out of school.

Well done to Japan who were the overall winners raising £140.85.

who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2025-2026! 

He has worked so hard this year and has made good progress in his writing. He always wants to show his best work and talks about his learning at home. Mum says that he will often talk about what he is going to write during our end of unit writing lessons. He should be very proud of all that he has achieved this year. I certainly am. Well done Filip!

Ellis B (Uganda)

who has earned the Nurture Champion Award for 2025-2026! 

Ellis has always been a kind and caring member of the class. Recently, I have seen him help children to tidy away their resources and to help them if an adult is not available as they are working with another child. He will often remind some of the children about what they are supposed to be doing. It has been a pleasure to have seen this value develop over the last few weeks. Well done Ellis.

Rylee V (Peru)
who has earned the Excellence Champion Award for 2025-2026! 

 Rylee has shown continuous achievements throughout the year. I feel he deserves this badge as he has overcome a series of challenges out of hid comfort zone. Also, his independent communication, reading and writing has come on a long way since the beginning of the year. He is also thriving in maths. He shows excellence and determination in all his that he does. I could not be any prouder of Rylee.  Keep it up!

He always strives to do his best in all areas of his learning. He is not afraid of a challenge and is making great progress thanks to his determination and resilience.

He started the year feeling unsure of his abilities, but he has grown in confidence throughout the year and always strives to do his best in all areas of his learning. He now has the confidence to ask and answer questions, and it has been wonderful to see him develop and grow as a learner.

George A (France)

who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2025-2026! 

George has earned the Learning value badge for the excellent effort and determination he shows in English lessons. He has been working hard to improve his sentence structure and is becoming much more confident in organising his ideas clearly. He has also written some fantastic past tense sentences in his recount writing, helping to make his work engaging and successful. Keep up the great work, George!

Matei G (France)

who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2025-2026! 

Matei has earned the Learning value badge for the fantastic effort and enthusiasm he shows in his learning. He has worked hard in English, writing some wonderful descriptions of his Bog Baby and a detailed recount using his ideas carefully. He has also shown great skill and patience when creating his seascape collage in Art, taking pride in his work and producing a fantastic final piece. Well done, Matei — keep up the great work!

Anastasia X (France)

who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2025-2026! 

Anastasia has earned the Value Badge for Learning because of the great effort and focus she has shown in her learning, particularly when tackling new challenges. She approaches her work with determination and is developing confidence in her abilities. I have been especially impressed by her participation during History lessons, where she contributes thoughtful ideas and engages well in our class discussions. Well done, Anastasia—keep up the good work!

Kenza K (France)

who has earned the Community Champion Award for 2025-2026! 

Kenza has earned this Values Badge for Community because she consistently demonstrated kindness, patience and respect during our recent trip to Southend. She showed great consideration for others, especially younger children, by moving away from the aquarium windows to give them a chance to see. She was always polite and helpful to her group leader, making positive choices throughout the day. She is a wonderful example of what it means to be a Clockhouse Citizen.

Reading Raffle Winners!

As you may already know, once again, this year we are holding a weekly Reading Raffle. Each time the children read at home and a message gets sent to their teacher on Class Dojo or a message is put in their Reading Diary they get a raffle ticket which gets entered into the Reading Raffle draw. This takes place in Celebration Assembly on a Monday.
