Weekly reminders for week beginning 27th June 2016

Thank you to all for your support with Maths Week, particularly in sending in your change for the Snake Coin Challenge. The children certainly enjoyed themselves and we have received lots of positive feedback.

Brazil and Wales
Brazil and Wales continue with this years Celebration Assemblies on Monday, we look forward to seeing many of you there to celebrate all the learning that they have done so far this year. The assemblies promise to be a wonderful occasion if the efforts that the children have put into practising are anything to go by. 
Brazil - 9.00am (Key Stage 2 Hall)
Wales - 2.50pm (Key stage 1 Hall)

Year 4
Two of the Year 4 classes are off to Havering Country Park this week as follows:
Uganda - Monday
Kenya - Thursday
South Africa will be going Tuesday 5th July.
Please send in consent forms if you have not done so already as without these the children will not be able to go on the trip.

Year 6
The Year 6 children are off to the Science Museum on Tuesday. Again please ensure that consent forms are returned.

Year 5 Meeting for Parents
Parents of children currently in Year 5, please do not forget that we have the meeting on Wednesday (5pm) where the Borough talk to you about the process of applying for a Secondary School place for your child. This will take place in the Key Stage 2 hall.

Sport
Good luck to the cricket team who play a small tournament at Clockhouse on Friday.

We also look forward to welcoming our new Reception Parents this week, you should all have had a letter by now to tell you when your meeting is.

The attendance winners this week are...

Well done to everyone for trying hard to ensure the children's attendance has been high this week and we are pleased to report this has been maintained from last week. Remember:

A big well done to this weeks winners who are:

France - 98.97%
Kenya - 95.00%
China - 94.33% 

Well done to France who will receive prizes in Friday's assembly for their attendance being over 98%. 

Whole school attendance currently stands at

 95.3%!

Well done everyone and thank you all for your continued support in ensuring that the
children come to school everyday and on time!

It is still important that we all work to improve our attendance. 
Please remember that our school target is 96%.

Weekly reminders week beginning 20th June 2016

Thank you to everyone who supported us at the School Fete on Saturday, we hope you enjoyed the Street Party theme including the special guest! Your commitment to the cause  was admirable. It would be wrong not to recognise and thank the PA for the wonderful event they put on. This has been months of preparation and we hope you all agree they really did do a superb job - here is to the next event! I believe 17th December is penciled in for the Christmas Bazaar!

Thank you also for your support with the Enterprise Day that was held last week. As soon as we know the total raised, we will of course pass this onto you.

Maths Week
As you already know, this week is Maths Week. We have a lot of exciting things planned for the children. Please remember to send in any loose change for the Snake Coin Challenge on Tuesday!

Argentina and Northern Ireland

Year 1 are off to Southend on Wednesday. Please send consent forms and money in by Monday if you have not done so already.

Year 6
The Year 6 children are off to the Havering Junior Citizen event on Thursday afternoon. Please ensure that permission slips have been returned if you have not done so already.

Sport
Good luck to the Netball team who play in the High 5 team and the girls football team who play Elm Park (away) on Monday and also good luck to the Year 3 and 4 athletics team who take part in the borough Quad Kids tournament on Tuesday. Thank you to the parents for providing transport.

The Dojo League

The Dojo League!

The Dojo league has once again started with lots of 100% this week!

The dojo scores have been analysed and the results are in!

Reception and Key Stage 1:
A big well done to  Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Italy who currently top the Dojo League. Mexico and USA are just behind them in second place with Canada in third.

Key Stage 2:
A big well done to Argentina, South Africa and Japan who are currently in the overall lead of the Key Stage 2 Dojo League with Peru, Libya, Uganda, Australia and New Zealand in second place and Brazil in third.

Well done to everyone for really trying to earn Dojos for their class.

Weekly reminders for week beginning 13th June 2016

Welcome back to the Year 6 children who went to Bournemouth. Hopefully you have had lots of sleep and ready for the week ahead!

Enterprise Week
This week sees us embark on what has now become one of our Clockhouse Traditions. Although slightly later than last year, it is ENTERPRISE WEEK! The children will be busy creating there enterprise ideas and all those budding entrepreneurs out there will be marketing their products during the week and selling them on Thursday. Please do not forget to send the children in with a little bit of money to make their purchases.

India and France

Starsanppers - Year 6
We are very excited to welcome Starsnappers again to Clockhouse. They came to school recently to work with some of our children who loved developing their digital photography skills. On Friday it will be the turn of Year 6. 

Sport
Good luck to the boys football team who play Elm Park at home on Tuesday.

Thank you to the parents and families for ensuring that the children are transported to the different venues.

School Fete
Do not forget that the PA will be hosting the Summer Fete on Saturday (11am-2pm). Please come along and show your support. It promises to be a wonderful event!

Key Stage 2 Dojo League Winners

They are now busy thinking about what their reward will be!

Well done also to Peru, Argentina, Libya and Australia who finished in second place and Japan who finished in third!

Update from Bournemouth

The coach is currently on the M25 but there is some traffic.

Currently they are expected at 5.15pm.

They left Intech on time and have already left Fleet Services

Reading Star Champions

We have been delighted to see lots of reading happening this term and to reward the following children for the commitment they have shown to improving their reading!

Remember, each time the children get three signatures in their Home School Learning Diaries, they receive a star, the child with the most stars in each class at the end of the term is the class Reading Star and they receive a certificate and a book (for more reading)!

Day 5 at Bournemouth

All is well in Bournemouth. The children have had another good night, the sun is shining and they are ready for their trip to Intech!

The coach is being loaded with luggage, then it is breakfast. They are leaving the hotel at 9.30.

Tonight's update

The children (and staff) have had a great day which was ended with a  fabulous disco. They all had their disco outfits at the ready and have danced the night away!

Some are now watching telly whilst others are chilling out in their rooms. Bed time soon ready for Intech and the drive home tomorrow.

They cannot wait to see you all but have had a fantastic time!

Bournemouth update

All is going well in Bournemouth!

The children have had a lovely time exploring. They have enjoyed the Oceanarium and the other activities that they have to offer. I hear crazy golf has been very popular!

They have had an absolutely lovely day with lovely weather. They are back at the hotel and are packing ready for departure tomorrow as well as completing the Bournemouth quiz!

Dinner is at 6 (fish and chips or sausage and mash) and then it is disco time!

Good morning - news from Bournemouth

The children have all had a good nights sleep, are still having a wonderful time and are looking forward to a day  in Bournemouth. Breakfast is at 8.30 (so they have a little lie in - they are tired!). The sun is shining and they are ready for Crazy Golf, the Oceanarium and lots more!

Tonight's update from Bournemouth

All is wonderful in Bournemouth!

Another good day has been had and the children have thoroughly enjoyed an evening on the beach.

They are now back at the hotel, having a drink and biscuits and will soon be off to bed in preparation for their day in Bournemouth tomorrow. There are lots of things planned, including a trip to the Oceanarium, Crazy Golf, the amusements and lots more!

This will be the last update today, we will be back with more updates (and photos) tomorrow.

Everything is good in sunny Bournemouth and the children (and staff) are having lots of fun!

The children have had a great day at the activity centre and have enjoyed completing different activities.

They are currently having dinner (chicken curry or jacket potatoes with a choice of filling) and are then off to the beach.

Tonight's update from Bournemouth

The children (and staff) have had a lovely day!!!!

They are back from the beach having played lots of games, done lots of digging and have had a great time on the sand. They are having their drink and biscuits and are off to bed!!

This will be the last update today, we will be back with more updates (and photos) tomorrow when they spend the day at Marwell Activity Centre for Quad Biking, High Ropes and Archery!



Bournemouth update!

The children are safely back from Monkey World having had a fabulous day, they have had dinner and are off to the beach later. The sun is shining. All is good and they are having lots of fun!

Bournemouth
The children have arrived safely at Monkey World and are enjoying meeting the animals and listening to talks from their keepers. They are all having a great time!

Stayers
The children are enjoying their drama day at Bower Park. They will be back to school by the end of the day.

Tonights Bournemouth Update

The children (and staff) have had a great day!!!! 

They are back from the beach and have enjoyed their time playing on the sand. They are having hot chocolate and biscuits and will be off to bed soon!!

This will be the last update today, we will be back with more updates tomorrow as well as photos.

Tomorrow they are off to Monkey World!


Year 6 update

Bournemouth
We have just spoken to Bournemouth and they have all arrived at the hotel safely. They have unpacked and have investigated their new surroundings! They are just about to eat dinner and then they are off to the beach!

Everything is fine and they are all having a great time! 


Year 6 Stayers
The children had a great day at Bower Park taking part in PE activities and are set to return for Drama tomorrow. Well done everyone!

Bournemouth Update

The children are having a lovely time at the farm, they have had their lunch and are off exploring.

Weekly reminders for week beginning 6th June 2016

Firstly, welcome back to you all, we hope that you have all had a lovely half term and that the children are ready for the busy term ahead! We look forward to welcoming the children back to school tomorrow and hearing about your fabulous holidays.

Thank you to the Parents and families who joined us on the Monday before the holiday for the celebration assemblies of China and Spain, we are sure you will agree they were a lovely occasion and we look forward to seeing more of you at these events during the term.

Year 6
We all hope that Year 6 have a fabulous time in Bournemouth. Please remember to meet your group leader in the canteen on Monday morning. The children will be departing at 10am promptly if you wish to wave them off. Updates about the trip will be on the school blog and website as well as being by the main office door.

We also hope that those staying behind have a great Activity Week! If you have not done so already, please ensure consent forms are returned on Monday morning. The children will be going out first thing on Monday and without written consent they will not be able to do so.

Year 4
Year 4 look forward to welcoming Warburtons throughout the week for a Healthy Sandwich Workshop.

Sport
Good luck to the Year 5 and 6 Athletics team who take part in the annual Borough Quad Kids tournament on Tuesday.
