Clockhouse Weekly Wow

Here is this week's Weekly Wow and as usual there are a lot of things to 'wow' about this week.

The Dojo League

The Dojo League!

The Dojo League continued this week - well done everyone for helping your class!

The dojo scores have been analysed and the results are in!

Reception and Key Stage 1:
A big well done to Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, France, Spain, USA and Canada who lead the Reception and Key Stage 1 Dojo league, with Italy are just behind them in second place and Mexico in third.

Key Stage 2:
A big well done to Brazil, Uganda, Australia and Fiji who are all in the overall lead of the Key Stage 2 league with Argentina, Peru, South Africa and China in second place with India in third.

Well done to everyone for really trying to earn Dojos for their class.

The attendance winners this week are...

Great attendance leads to
great learning and progress!

Congratulations to the three classes below who are our winners for this week - keep it up!

A big well done to this weeks winners who are:

Mexico - 99.3%
Brazil - 98.7%

A huge well done to all 3 classes above. An even bigger well done to Brazil who win for the third week in a row and to Meico and Northern Ireland who will receive prizes in Achievement Assembly next Friday for ahaving attendance of 99% and above.

Sadly only 8 classes were in the Green Zone last week with an attendance above 96% - well done to those classes!

A further well done to Nursery PM and All Day Nursery who were the only classes who had no lates this week. We are certainly hoping for a few more classes next time!

Whole school attendance for this week is:

95.8%

Whole school attendance for the year currently stands at:

 96.1%

Well done everyone and thank you all for your continued support in ensuring that the
children come to school everyday and on time!

It is still important that we all work to improve our attendance.
Please remember that our school target is 96%.

Dream It, Believe It, Achieve It Celebration

Hot Chocolate with the Head!
As you all know we are constantly striving to improve Clockhouse for your children.

This year we are all working to 'Dream It, Believe It, Achieve It' to ensure our school is a fabulous place to be. Each week, the Heads of Year as well as Miss Ward, Mrs Reinecke and Mrs Savidge choose a person (child or adult) who has been seen to do this!

This week the following Clockhouse Citizens have been seen to 'Dream It, Believe It, Achieve It':

Reception - Nailia A wonderful independent segmenting and blending this week.
Year 1 - Poppy J for sheer determination in maths and reading leading to excellent progress in these areas.
Year 2 - Rosie S for her amazing narration of the nativity and also always giving her best to all her learning.
Year 3 - Freddy R for working exceptionally hard in maths this week.
Year 4 - George G for really pushing himself in his humanities learning this week.
Year 5 - Nathan H for his kindness towards other children and excellent behaviour.
Year 6 - Oliver B for trying so hard with his learning throughout the whole week and showing a far more positive attitude.
Miss Ward - Rhys M-H for his fabulous writing.
Mrs Reinecke - Tony O for excellent answers when taking part in his reading group.
Mrs Savidge - Billy G for showing fantastic resilience and working so hard to achieve his goals.

Well done to all these children and all the other children who have been seen to 'Dream It, Believe It, Achieve It' this week!

Clockhouse appear on Newsround

As parents of these children who are now in Year 4 may recall, when in Year 3 the children took part in a  London wide project in association with Steve McQueen, which was a very exicitng opportunity for the children.

The exhibition can be viewed at the Tate Britain and yesterday we were delighted to see our photos on Newsround!

Year 5 become detectives

Year 5 had a great time last week looking at clueto start solving the mystery disappearance that had occurred in their classroom.

The mystery is still not solved, but they are certainly enjoying their role of detectives!

Miles the Mole visits Year 6

Year 6 enjoyed the visit from Miles the Mole yesterday.

This focussed on air pollution and how as a society we can do things to reduce this and improve the quality of the air we breath.

It was certainly very interesting and the children asked some good questions.

Well done Year 6!
