Clockhouse back to winning ways in emphatic style!

After a slow start to the sporting year the Clockhouse netball team played in the first round of the Borough Cup tonight.

With some experienced faces and some fresh faces the team played with a free flowing attack, tryingnhard to implement some of the tactics being worked on at netball club.

Clocks came out the blocks firing and found a four goal lead before Gidea Park were able to get on the board.

The link up play from the middle of the court was difficult for Gidea Park to handle Mia C, Frankie R, Taylor H and Kayleigh S creating many attacking opportunities.

On the other side Gidea Park worked hard to create opennings to score, their goal shooter tried hard to evade captain Emma S at the back while Oliver K brought controlled physical domanance to preceedings.

Mr Yarrow said 'In the lead up to this fixture we didn't know how things would go, safe to say the children today did the school proud and played with a maturity to their performance. The hard work the children have put in with myself and mainly Mrs Adams at club was clear to see. We couldn't be happier with how hard the team worked.

There are always things to work on and we will address these in coming weeks but the smiles on the children's faces at the end was fantastic to see and ultimately why we enter these competitions!!!

Credit must go to our opposition Gidea Park who made the contest fun and enjoyable throughout.

Thank you to all the parents for transporting & supporting the team. Thanks also to Mrs Adams for her hard work!

COME ON CLOCKS!!!!'
