Summer Holidays are upon us...already! But it is not always that easy!

We understand that for some, Summer is a restful time to relax with family and friends but for others it can be a challenging time. There are some of us who need a little bit of support as the time draws near to the end of the holidays and the return to school gets closer. The time when we will need to get our school uniforms out again, gather our school equipment, prepare for early get-ups and then the actual 'getting back to school' bit.

This can be a time of worry and anxiety. Questions and concerns may emerge in our minds:
Will my friends still like me?
Will I be able to manage at school?
What if I fail in my new year group?
How will I fill those learning gaps?

Coming back to school this year will be different and possible harder for some than previously. To support children and their families, we have put together a fun, printable 'Well-being Journal'. This journal is a supportive tool that parents/carers can do alongside their child/children or for older children, independently and discussed after if desired. It tackles areas concerning friendship, worries about the new academic year as well as positive self-image. You can choose to share it with your new teacher on return, or a member of school staff should you wish.

We hope that this 'Well-being Journal' will help children as they ease their way back into school after a long time away.
