Summer Update Week 1 of the Clockhouse Family

Good afternoon Clockhouse,

I hope you are well and that you are getting to enjoy this fabulous weather. I always think things seem so much better when the sun is shining. It is hard to believe that we are already at the end of the first week of the summer holiday! I do hope that, despite all that is going on in the world, this has not stopped you making the most of the holiday.

I am sure, like me, many of you have just watched the briefing from Boris Johnson, which clearly shows us that the virus is very much still out there. Please do look after yourselves and follow the guidance to protect yourselves and others. As many of you know, we are awaiting updated guidance for the opening of schools in September. We have been told this will come to us on 11th August and, after this, I and the Senior Leadership Team will be working hard to be in a position to communicate further plans with you. At the moment, all that was communicated with you prior to the end of the term, still stands.

I hope you enjoyed the art session with Mrs Reinecke this week and maybe some of you will get involved with the scavenger hunt posted earlier today, this is obviously entirely up to you.

What to look out for next week (should you want to get involved):
  • A summer science challenge from Miss Bowdery
  • Session 2 of art with Mrs Reinecke
  • Story time with Mrs Herrera
  • A photography challenge from Miss Kearns
  • A poster reading competition from Mrs Jarvis and Miss Cason as part of the summer reading challenge
Please continue to stay safe and look after yourselves and each other.
If you need us please contact us via the normal channels.
Have a good weekend and week everyone. Stay safe and alert and keep smiling!
Remember - Hands, Face, Space!
Our community - Our school - A family and a home for everyone!
Mrs Savidge
