Day 74 of the Clockhouse Family

Good evening Clockhouse

As we near the end of another week, here I am again! I, along with the rest of the Clockhouse Team, hope that you are all well and have had a good day. We have been so impressed with the work that has been coming in from our virtual school this week. You are certainly impressing your current teacher as well as your new teacher. I was lovely to see Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 back today as well as welcoming back Year 3 who certainly adapted well. It was lovely to see and hear you all! They started the day with their 'Welcome Back' Zoom Assembly.

Today saw the last of our Zoom Q and A sessions for the children joining us in Early Years in September. These have been really successful and prove that you can make what initially seems impossible possible. If you have missed them but do want some information, please call us. Definitely something we have learnt to live by in recent weeks.

I am sure many of you have heard the announcement by Gavin Williamson (Secretary of State for Education) in the House of Commons today. Nothing here has come as a huge surprise for us and we can now begin planning for the next phase - I have lost count of which phase this will be! There are certainly some positives to take from what has been said.

Remember to look out for our virtual Achievement Assembly tomorrow morning just after 9.00am, where I will be announcing this week's Home Learning Heroes. Remember also to look out for Hot Chocolate with the Head at 2.30pm tomorrow. I hope you have enjoyed story time with Miss Jones yesterday.

REMEMBER OCA NEED YOUR HELP! We hope you have got some sponsors are ready to complete the 5 challenges next week!

Please keep using #ourclockhousefamily with things that we are posting as a further way of keeping in touch. We might not be seeing each other every day but we are still one community who care for each other!

Keep going Team Clockhouse, we will be together again one day. But in the meantime please know how exceptionally proud of you we all are and how much we truly miss you!

Our community - Our school - A family and a home for everyone!
Stay positive everyone, keep going!
Stay safe and keep smiling
Mrs Savidge
