Time to CELEBRATE - Value Champion Alert!

We are very excited and pleased to share with you that we have our next Clockhouse Value Champions!

A huge congratulations to

Agnes C (France)
who has earned the Excellence Champion Award for 2021-2022!

Agnes takes pride in her learning in all subjects. She always tries her hardest in all of her work and takes pride in completing the best work she can and also in the presentation of her work. She listens eagerly in lessons and is keen to share her knowledge where she can. I think that she embodies the excellence value and is a worthy winner of this award.

Amirah S (Mexico)
who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2021-2022!

Amirah gives her absolute best to every task she is set, always presents her work beautifully and listens carefully at all times.  She asks interesting and relevant questions, gives thoughtful answers and is also willing to try again when she finds something hard at first.  As a result she has made fantastic progress this year, especially in maths, and it has been an absolute pleasure to watch her confidence and belief in herself grow throughout this year too. Mexico are all incredibly proud of you!

Victoria C (Argentina)
who has earned the Excitement Champion Award for 2021-2022!

Victoria is an enthusiastic member of our class. She is always spending her own time learning something new, or creating something amazing for the school or our class. She genuinely cares and gets excited about her learning which shows through her creativity. We are lucky to have her in our class and cannot wait to see what the future holds for her.

Robyn G (Argentina)
who has earned the Nurture Champion Award for 2021-2022!

Robyn is a kind and caring member of our class. She always spends her time making sure that everybody is ok as well as ensuring that I have had a good lunch and break time. If I ever seem sad or have had a busy lunch time, she offers me a huge hug and always lets me know we will have a good afternoon. I am so pleased to have had her in my class this year, as she is truly special.

Amaya K-B (Uganda)
who has earned the Excellence Champion Award for 2021-2022!

At the start of the year Amaya would barely have the confidence to say good morning to myself or other adults, but she has continually stepped out of her comfort zone this year and will now answer questions and offer great ideas in class, she has chosen to have a speaking part in our class assembly and has represented the school in a number of sports competitions this year, the latest of which she was the only year 4 child in a year 6 cricket competition. I am so proud of her and cannot wait to see her grow even more in confidence over the next two years.

Jessica W (Japan)
who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2021-2022!

Jess would be the first person to admit that learning new concepts can be extremely challenging for her, however Jess continuously shows amazing resilience and persistence in her learning. In her writing the improvements she has made across the year has been fantastic, consistently applying what she has learnt in her Grammar lesson to her writing. Jess always goes above and beyond by working extremely hard at home, this is evident in her reading as she continues to progress through her reading book bands. In Mathematics she has worked extremely hard at her arithmetic and always challenges herself to beat her score in the previous week. Jess it is a pleasure to teach you, you always come in and show case the 3Rs with determination and you are truly a fantastic Clockhouse citizen.

A huge well done from everyone at Clockhouse - wear your Values Champion Badge with pride!

There is a 'buzz' around this place!

Year 4 have had some special visitors!

Mark, the bee keeper, came to talk to us about the our bee hive and how important they are.

He taught us how to make bee bombs, which are little balls of clay covered in seeds. We have already planted some of them outside in the playground in the flower boxes.

He also launched the Year 4 competition and the winners will get to visit our bee hive in London - exciting times ahead!

Please be aware that sadly we continue to experience difficulty with our Facebook page. We will conitnue to work on it this week.

School Dinner with a Paid Drink
Please can we ask that you remind your children that they should not ask for a paid drink with a school dinner if you have not told them to do so and there is money of their sQuid account. We are currently reviewing this and whether to remove the option for a paid drink all together. Children are more than welcome to bring their own drink at lunchtime. If you do need a sQuid account please see Mrs Collins in the main school office.

The children will be busy creating their enterprise ideas and all those budding entrepreneurs out there will be marketing their products during the week. Enterprise Day will be Friday 10th June. Please do not forget to send the children in with a little bit of money to make their purchases. A letter came out about this prior to the holidays.
