Hot Chocolate with the Head

As we all know, Hot Chocolate with the Head is an important part of Clockhouse. Obviously due to the current situation we find ourselves in, sadly it is still not possible for us to come together to celebrate which is such a shame. However, we do not want the children to miss out and therefore the chosen children will get a special Hot Chocolate pack to enjoy at home!

As you all know we are constantly striving to improve Clockhouse for your children.

This year we are all 'Making the Ordinary Extraordinary' to ensure our school is a fabulous place to be and the children the best all round experience possible. Each week, the Heads of Year as well as Miss Ward, Mrs Reinecke and Mrs Savidge choose a person (child or adult) who has been seen to do this! We hope all the children enjoy their hot chocolate pack - send us a picture of you enjoying your special celebration drink!

This week the following Clockhouse Citizens have been seen to be 'Making the Ordinary Extraordinary':

Nursery - Maria D for making really good progress with her learning.
Reception - Ayyub C (Scotland) for making great progress in his learning.
Year 1 - Isha K (Spain) for trying hard in all areas of her learning and applying her phonics into all lessons.
Year 2 - Mrs Booth for being an absolute star and helping and supporting Mrs Curry and class Mexico.
           - David C (Canada) for always giving 100% effort when working out of class with Mrs Cox and showing perseverance when completing challenging work.

Year 3 - Lavinia T (Brazil) for always trying her best and really impressing me with her narrative writing all about Alice in Wonderland over the past few weeks.
Year 4 - Arooshay A (South Africa) for resilience and hard work using the bus stop method.
Year 5 - Olly A (China) for working really hard in his assessments last week and showing more confidence in class.
Year 6 - Karla S (Fiji) for an amazing effort and perseverance when learning the ukulele.
Miss Ward - Tristan W (India) for embracing challenges when writing his newspaper report.
Mrs Reinecke - Penny D (USA) for speaking so articulately about her learning to visitors.
Mrs Savidge - William K (Brazil) for having such a positive attitude towards his learning and working so well independently in maths.

Well done to all these children and all the other children who have been seen to be 'Making the Ordinary Extraordinary' this week!

Our treats are ready to go and we are looking forward to Hot Chocolate Friday next week to celebrate with more fantastic Clockhouse people!
