Year 1 make the most of the Football Festival

The Clockhouse Year 1 football team had a fantastic day at their football festival, showing great determination, teamwork and enthusiasm throughout. The Festival focused on allowing the team to grow in confidence and play friendly games against different schools. This was a very exciting chance for the children to progress with their football skills.

Every player gave their very best in each game. Their technique improved as the day went on and it was wonderful to see such strong sportsmanship, with the children encouraging and supporting one another at every opportunity. In attack, Dominic and Frankie worked brilliantly together, pushing forward with confidence and scoring some fantastic goals across the matches. Their efforts and teamwork were a real highlight of the day. Cayson and Cali-Rae showed great awareness and determination playing in defence. Artur, Joseph and Maisie played well across the pitch. The team showed energy and a willingness to get involved wherever needed. The team also rotated goalkeepers throughout the festival and every player who took on the role made some incredible saves, showing bravery and quick reactions under pressure.

Overall, it was a brilliant team effort, full of energy, teamwork and resilience. Well done to all the players for representing Clockhouse so proudly!

Player of the match: Frankie (Spain)

Team - Dominic (Spain), Frankie (Spain), Cali-Rae (France), Maisie (France), Cayson (Italy), Joseph (Italy) and Artur (Italy)

Brilliant Bird Boxes from Year 6

Year 6 have loved their most recent Design and Technology unit where they have designed and made their own bird boxes out of recycled wood. Mr Fox also came along to help them.

They had to work really hard to keep to the design brief and use their designs to construct their boxes adapting as they went.

Recognised for our Dedicaton to Music

For showing dedication in improving the music education of our pupils, Clockhouse has been awarded a Music Mark from the UK Association for Music Education.

We have achieved this by recognising the importance of musical learning within our curriculum. In doing so, we are providing diverse and inclusive music lessons for all of our pupils in all year groups of our school. We also engage in as many opportunities as we can to broaden our pupil’s musical knowledge and appreciation by working with visiting musicians or attending music-based concerts or workshops either within our community or beyond.

Scotland enjoy their Celebration

Scotland had a great time when they had their reward for winning Amazing Attendance and Perfect Punctuality Week.

They certianly loved their very own Ice Cream Party!

Well done Scotland!
