Going Above and Beyond Celebration

Hot Chocolate with the Head!

As you all know we are constantly striving to improve Clockhouse for your children.

This year we are all working to 'Go Above and Beyond' to ensure our school is a fabulous place to be. Each week, the Heads of Year as well as Mrs Pacheco, Mr Bottrill and Mrs Savidge will chose a person (child or adult) who has been seen to 'Go Above and Beyond'.

This week the following Clockhouse Citizens have been seen to 'Go Above and Beyond'.

Reception - Miss Fisher for being very felcxible and being very supportive of the team.

Year 1 - Alfie R for trying extra hard and making a huge improvement with his presentation.

Year 2 - Jayda J for trying extra hard with her learning and using punctuation effectively.

Year 3 - Umamah F for demonstrating a fantastic work ethic and doing extra learning at home.

Year 4 - Soulemayne S for showing great behaviour in the plsygorund and helping others to play nicely together.

Year 5 - Ethan N for going out of his ways to support his peers.

Year 6 - Riley V for going the extra mile and working hard in class with his leanring.

Mrs Pacheco - Fabio R for being kind and helpful wihthout being asked.

Mr Bottrill - Mr Pavan for being extra helpful and supportive in developing the Clockhouse IT provision.

Mrs Savidge - Caiden B for showing amazing perseverance with his learning.
- Harley H for being very supportive of other pupils.

Well done to all these children and all the other children who have gone Above and Beyond this week.

Next Stop Beckton for Successful Girls Football Team!

Following the success of the boys in their Premier League Stars Tournament last week, the girls equalled their male counterparts by finishing third in their regional qualifying event.

Despite being freezing cold and not playing to their usual high standards. The girls team dug deep and ensured they finished the tournament undefeated having conceded no goals.

Clockhouse opened their campaign with a 0 - 0 draw against Thameside Primary School.

Clockhouse got their first victory in their next outing against Aveley Primary School. Jodie S giving Clockhouse the 1 - 0 victory.

Clockhouse then faced St Helens Catholic School in a game either team could of won but the game finished goalless.

Finally Clockhouse played Kenington Primary School and despite bombarding the goal with shots. Clockhouse left it until late on to score two goals and pick up the 2 - 0 victory. Goals from Jodie S ans captain Sophie L.

A frustrating day had a fantastic outcome and the girls will have the opportunity to warm up and regroup before hosting St Joseph's on Tuesday at Clockhouse in the Havering Cup. As always your support is more than welcome! Today team Clockhouse played by far the most attractive style of football out of all the schools on show, but just struggled slightly with the shorter time format. This is something we can work on before the finals in Leicester. A great opportunity for the players and a proud moment for Clockhouse sport!

Weekly reminders for week beginning 5th February 2018

As the last week of half term approaches we have another busy week at Clockhouse!

Nursery and Reception

Both Nursery and Reception look forward to welcoming parents and carers this week to review the children's learning as well as carry out activites to do with Chinese New Year. Please speak to a member of staff if you are unsure of your time slot.

Safer Internet Day

Tuesday is national Safer Internet Day and the children will be learning about this in school. Please do take the time to talk to them about this very important subject.

Year 5

We look forward to welcoming our Year 5 parents for Learn with my Child on Thursday morning at 9.30am - 11.45. Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.

Year 6

The Police will be visiting Year 6 on Friday to discuss safety issues. Please do take time to talk to the children about this.

Forest Schools
Some of you will have received a letter last week inviting your child to take part in this round of Forest Schools. Please do send the slip back ASAP and we look forward to seeing you at the meeting after school on Tuesday.

Special Dinner Day
We have another special dinner day on Friday to celebrate Pancake Day.

Sport

Good luck to the boys football team who play Benhurst away and to the girls football team who play St Josephs at home both on Tuesday. Good luck also to the girls football team who play in a competition on Thursday afternoon. A final good luck to the Tag Rugby team who play St. Peters (Brentwood) away on Friday.
