Year 6 Twist the Day Away!

Year 6 had a great time at the Twist Museum, where they enjoyed an exciting and educational day of hands-on learning. The museum’s interactive exhibits, including optical illusions, mirrors and puzzles, encouraged pupils to explore how the brain, eyes and senses work together.

The children were fully engaged as they experimented with the displays, asked thoughtful questions and challenged their own thinking. The visit supported their learning in science, maths and art while also promoting curiosity, creativity and problem-solving skills.

Overall, the trip was both fun and inspiring, giving Year 6 a memorable learning experience outside the classroom. They also showed themselves to be great Clockhouse Citizens - a member of the public even emailed the school to tell us so! Well done Year 6!

Time to Tye a Tie!

As part of our life skills curriculum, this term Year 6 were learning how to tye a tie. They had lots of fun learning this skill and hopefully the children are now showing this at home! Please send us any pictures!

Money, Money, Money

As part of their learning in PSHE, Year 4 have been busy learning all about money.

They enjoyed learning about currency. They were also very excited to welcome a special visitor who came all the way from Barclays Bank in Canary Wharf to help them develop their learning further - thank you!

Year 6 do a Great Job with their Dragon Eyes!

Year 6 spent time creating these amazing eyes made out of clay.

They spent time exploring how artists use eyes to convey emotion studying the work of Picasso, Rene Margritte and Margaret Keane. They then transferred this to creating their own Dragons Eye first in pastels and then in clay.

Year 4 get baking!

Year 4 enjoyed designing and baking their own bread as part of their Design and Technology learning.

They had a great time making use of our cooking facility.

We hope they enjoyed eating it too!
