Last Friday Clockhouse welcomed two teams from Towers Junior for tag rugby matches.
Clockhouse dark blues made up of Year 3 and 4 children mainly, were made to battle really hard and it took some moments of individual brilliance from Bobby I and Bobby L to keep Clockhouse in the game against a Towers side who looked ruthless when they had the ball in hand. As the game went on it was the tagging from Lily S-E and Sophie L that eventually gave Clockhouse the upper hand. In the 2nd half some great team work and hard running from Jack M and James G ensured that the dark blues got the vital scores required for victory by 26 trys to 22. Other influential performers were Hayden M, Paris K, Alfie P, and Brooke A.
The royal blues made up of Year 5 and 6 put in a ruthless team effort to beat their opposition from Towers 24 - 13. The team were clinical with dynamic running and quick offloading after the tag. Memorable scores came from Niamh S, Lewis B-K, and Shannon I.
Other squad members who played a big part in the victory were Caitlin M, Bobby B, Bradley L, Callum L, Daisie S-E, Gracie H, and Daniel M.
Well done team Clockhouse on a fantastic performance in hot conditions and thank you to all patents who joined us on the touchline!
