Children from Clockhouse Primary School and the
Collier Row area, along with their adults, met outside their local Library to
protest at the planned closure.
Many of the children and their parents have used the library from their early
years and want it to stay open so future generations can continue to visit.
Passersby stopped and shared memories of their childhood visits to choose books, listen to stories, take part in activities, research, study, attend talks and meet with friends in a safe place for all.
The children held up posters at the railing along the road and cheered as many of the passing cars honked their horns in support.
