Weekly reminders for week beginning 21st October 2024

What a lovely week last week was - well done to you all and thank you for all the support you continue to show us. We are lucky to work with such a wonderful community.

It is hard to believe it is the last week of this half term already - where is the time going. It is certainly going to be a busy and exciting one!

Whole School Picture
The final event to celebrate Clockhouse being 90 happens on Monday when the photographers will be in take a picutre of the whole school together (weather permitting). This will be used to commemorate our 90th year. PLEASE ENSURE CHILDREN COME TO SCHOOL IN FULL UNIFORM.

Fatima Whitbread comes to Clockhouse
As you will have seen last week, we are very excited to welcome Fatima Whitbread on Monday to support the launch of her new book. This is an opportunity unique to Clockhouse. Press will also be attending.

Reception - Year 6
Please remember that the nurses are in on Thursday for the first round of flu immunisations.

Year 3
Year 3 are off to Barleylands on Tuesday. Please ensure arrival to school is prompt so that the coaches can leave on time. Please also ensure that if permission slips or money has not been sent in that these are in by Monday at the latest. Thank you in advance.

Year 5
We look forward to welcoming our Year 5 (Tuesday - 9.10-10.10)
parents for Learn with my Child. Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.

School Parliament
Some of your School Parliament are off to the Town Hall on Monday. During their time there they will also get to meet the Mayor.

Parents' Evening
Do not forget that on Wednesday and Thursday of this week it is Parents' Evening after school. Teachers have been busy making appointments for everyone, so if, as yet, you do not have an appointment please contact your child's class teacher on Monday to make arrangements for a meeting. As you know, we are offering a blended approach, so if you have not done so already, please do tell the teachers if you want a Zoom or face to face meeting.

Please do allow your children to be part of the meeting so that they also know how they are doing and what they need to work on. The importance of the co-education of your child cannot be overstated

Natasha Brind's Bright Day
On Thursday, we invite our whole community to come to school in bright colours. It would be lovely to see parents / carers getting involved as well. This is in memory of Natasha, our much loved member of staff who sadly and very unexpectedly passed away two years ago. If you would like to donate to Cancer Research, a charity dear to Natasha and her family, please do so but there is no obligation.

OCA (Our Clockhouse Association) Sweet Stall
OCA will be holding a Sweet Stall event after school on Thursday. Look out for the  stalls around the site on Thursday after school. Sweet bags are £1.00. Please do support them.

Things to be aware of
Please do not forget that Friday 25th October is a staff training day and therefore the school will be closed to children.
