We were all very excited when Conductive Music came to Clockhouse to work with Year 2 and Year 4.
Conductive Music use music to enhance and advance STEM education. For their exciting workshops, the children in Years 2 and 4 had the chance to create custom-built instruments before adding technology to create melodies, explore graphic notation with chords and playing together in an ensemble piece. Later they explored body conductivity and made music by touching fingers, ears and noses! Finally, they built more advanced instruments and played a song ‘guitar-hero’ style.
It was an amazing workshop where the children had the opportunity to combine elements of Music, Science, Technology and ‘gamification’ to inspire their creativity and problem solving skills.
