A small group of children from Year 5 and 6, visited Hornchurch Sports Centre to participate in a badminton workshop aimed at introducing them to a new sport and helping them develop their skills.
The session was structured to focus on both the basics of badminton and the progression of skill for everybody. Throughout the workshop, the children displayed impressive enthusiasm, commitment and focus. They actively engaged in all activities, which ranged from learning proper grip techniques to practicing footwork, aiming to build a solid foundation in badminton. The group was praised for their hard work, demonstrating a genuine eagerness to improve and learn.
The children also showed excellent behaviour, working well with their team and following instructions with care. Their teamwork and respect for one another contributed to a positive and productive learning environment.
Overall, the workshop was a great success, with the children not only making significant progress in their badminton skills but also displaying commendable sportsmanship. Well done everyone !
