Field Work fun for Year 4

As part of  their learning about the rainforests, Year 4 carried out some fieldwork at our local deciduous forest. Whilst there, the children carried out a risk assessment of the local area highlighting whether they were human impacts on the environment or physical geography. They then looked at the different types of flora ready to compare to the different plants and trees in the Amazon rainforest. They also carried out some mapping work, investigated the plants that they found and finished with some leaf rubbing before heading back to school!
