Weekly reminders for week beginning 7th November 2016

It was lovely to see everyone back at school last week and hear about their half term holiday. Thank you also to all those that attended Parents Evening, it was lovely to see you all. If you have not yet managed to meet with your child's teacher please do speak to them to make arrangements for this to happen this week.

Year 1
Year 1 are looking forward to welcoming a number of Birds of Prey on Monday. This is a lovely experience for the children. Please do send in contributions if you have not done so already. Without these contributions such experiences would not be possible for the children.

School Photographs
Following the letter that came out last week, please remember that individual school photographs will be taken on Tuesday 8th November.  Children who have brothers and sisters in school will also have the family photos taken during the day. However, if you wish to your children photographed with children who do not attend the school there is the opportunity to have this done on before school on Wednesday. Please go the Key Stage 2 hall from 8am.

Literacy Workshops
Miss Ettridge will be holding a number of workshops to help you support your children at home with Readind and Writing on Tuesday (8th Novemeber) at 9.15, 2.15 and 6.00. We hope to see many of you there.

Parent Council
As you may be aware, Clockhouse Primary School has its very own Parents Council, and is looking to invite some new parents to join the Council and join in the conversation about how we can ensure that the children at Clockhouse can be the best that they can be. The Parent Council is run by parents for parents and provides you with an opportunity to contribute your ideas about how the school can further improve. It is hosted by Marcus Giddy, a School Governor at the school, whose two children both attended Clockhouse and is committed to supporting both parents and teachers. If you would like more information about the Parents Council, you can contact Marcus via email marcusg@thegoodshepherd.co.uk or why don’t you come along to the next Council meeting which is this week - Thursday 10th November at 9am. Please come to the main office to sign in.
