Sports fixtures are back!

Last Tuesday there was clear excitement and nerve in the air as Clockhouse played their first sports fixture in 2 years, when the new look netball team took a trip to Parklands.

The nerves were clear to see as the game begun. A well drilled Parklands side who had been practising that afternoon, took full advantage racing into a healthy lead.

As the game progressed Clockhouse grew into the game. In the final quarter Clockhouse got their rewards when Lola S-E got Clocks on the scoreboard. With confindence now growing Isabelle H doubled the Clockhouse score.

Mr Yarrow said after the game 'There was a lot of responsibility on the children's shoulders tonight and the way they showed tenacity to battle through the nerves and finish so strong is a credit to the school.

Thank you to Mrs Adams for her support and thank you to the parents who supported the team.

It is amazing to see sporting fixtures slowly returning after the pandemic. The children should be proud of their efforts tonight against a strong Parklands side. What is great to see is the children are already asking for more training and more games. We have resilient, quick learners at Clockhouse so I'm confident our next result will leave an even bigger smile on the children's faces.

Well done team!'
