Weekly reminders for week beginning 2nd May 2023

We hope you are all enjoying the Bank Holiday and having a longer weekend. We look forward to seeing you back at school tomorrow (Tuesday). We have quite a quiet week this week as we get Year 6 prepared for their SATs tests.

Dental Varnishing
The dental team will be in school on Tuesday to carry out the dental varnishing for children in Reception and Year 1. There will be another opportunity for France to take part in this.

Reception and Year 2
As per the letter that was sent home last week, Reception and Year 2 will be taking part in cycle training on Tuesday. There will also be an opportunity for parents to experience scooting after school!

Year 5
We look forward to welcoming our Year 5 parents / carers on Thursday for Learn with my Child at 9.30am - 11.45am. Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.

Strike Action
Please be aware of the letter that was sent out previously regarding strike action on Tuesday of this week. On Tuesday the following classes will be closed:

  • France – Mrs Nelder-Marsh
  • Peru – Mr Bruce
  • Argentina – Miss Maan
  • Brazil – Mr Hurdle
  • Kenya – Miss Emms
  • Greenland – Miss Simmonds and Miss Howlett
Thank you for your support in this matter and for respecting the teacher's decision.

The Coronation comes to Clockhouse
Do not forget the Coronation will be coming to Clockhouse on Friday. The children are invited to come to school dressed in clothes they would wear to the coronation if they were invited. During the day there will be an assembly about the coronation and the importance of this event as well as a special dinner. We would also like to invite any child who wishes to do so, to enter a competition to design and make the best Coronation crown. Judging will take place on Friday 5th May so please make sure they are in school by this date.

Sport
Good luck to the Year 2 Cricket Team who will be taking part in the borough Cricket Tournament on Wednesday.
