Quad Kids 2025

Year 1 and 2

All of our Year 1 and Year 2 classes took part in an exciting Quad Kids event this term. The children competed in four athletic events: a throw, a jump, a sprint and a long-distance run.

Every child gave it their all, showing fantastic effort, determination and resilience throughout. It was wonderful to see such brilliant sportsmanship on display – children cheered each other on, offered encouragement, and celebrated everyone’s successes.

A huge well done to all the children for their hard work and team spirit. A special congratulations goes to Team USA, who were the overall winners of the event!

Year 3 and 4

On a scorching hot day, Year 3 and 4 took part in the annual Mr Leaper Cup, which was this year also used as part of the Havering schools Quad Kids competition. During the morning, each class went outside to compete in a series of field events. All children had the chance to test themselves in the javelin (mega howler) throw, standing long jump and basketball throw. There were some remarkable performances including Liam from South Africa throwing a mammoth 21 metres with a mega howler and Beau from Kenya achieving 2 metres in the standing long jump. Due to the heat, the afternoon was split into two with Year 3 taking to the track first, before Year 4 followed after. The children competed in running events, including 60m sprint, bean bag balance, hurdles, 300m and culminating in the relay race. The children were fabulous in supporting and cheering each other on. It was very close throughout the whole day, but there does have to be a winner. 

The winner of the Mr Leaper cup for 2025 was Kenya!

Year 6 - Archie, Poppy, Noah, Aidan, Dylan, Cooper, Azra, Isabelle, Jada

Year 5 and 6

This year, Year 5 and 6 took part in the Havering schools Quad kids Competition, which was completed in school. Children competed in Javelin (mega howler) throw, standing long jump and 60m sprint. Some children also took part in a 300m race. There were some incredible performances across all events with Tainara jumping over 1.65metres for long jump and Elliot completing his 60metre sprint in 11.04 seconds. The scores from all events were added together to provide a class winner and individual winners. It was incredibly close with some of the individual competitions only separated by one point!

The children were fantastic in providing a great atmosphere for this competition, that was fair, supporting and competitive.  A special mention to the following children who the event could not have run successfully without so a big thank you to them
