Impressive Boccia team represent the school showing great spirit!

Earlier this week Clockhouse entered the annual Borough Boccia Tournament. As a school we thrive on opportunities to try new sports. Boccia is a fantastic Paralympic sport and it was great to see so many schools represented so well by their students!

Clockhouse started proceedings with an early hiccup, drawing 1 end all with eventual winners Scotts Primary, sadly on points difference Clockhouse lost 3-1.

Following the early nerves Clockhouse then went on to beat their remaining opponents. First up was Ardleigh Green (2-0), followed by Parklands (3-1), and then last of all an engrossing contest against Newtons finally winning 2-1.

Despite only loosing one game, with the competition under an unusual format Clockhouse finished 4th overall. On match points the top 4 were all joint so it came down to points difference and Clockhouse had +5 whilst others scored fractionally higher. That being said the day was still a fantastic success. Clockhouse remain a well known name in the borough for Pan and Paralympic sport. The children had a fantastic day and were amazing Clockhouse citizens.

As a result of this amazing work we have decided to continue with Boccia Club until the end of the academic year inviting more children to attend and continuing to raise the profile of the more uncommon sports!

Thank you to the following children for doing the school proud - Elizabeth A, Leylan S and Leon W.
