Good evening Clockhouse
Can you believe this is my 30th message to you all
- I can't! Let's hope we do not have another 30. I hope you are all well and
looking after yourselves. Well done and thank you to all those who were out
clapping last night, we had people in my road with pots, pans and whistles this
week!
A big well done to you all this week, the longer this goes on for the harder it may well become. This is to be expected - ask the children about the 'secret' fourth 'R' we talk about - this attribute is needed now more than ever. Together we can do it! Please remember that we are here for you all and will do all we can to support and help you through this.
Well done to all those who have completed the 'Create the Hashtag' challenge, there are still more to come. Well done also to those who have contributed to the Toilet Roll challenge - that will be coming out early next week.
'Team F2' have been working with the children and
supporting the community today. The children in school have spent time experimenting
with our new Orienteering Course and related equipment (we cannot wait to share
it with you) as well as completing their Google Classroom work. Mr Yarrow has
worked with Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and Miss Maan with Year 3, 4,
5 and 6. They have been supported by Mrs Hickson and Mrs Price. Mrs Edgar
has been in the office and we also had Mr Ron with us. I have also been in
school.
Highlights of the Week:
All your amazing home learning and the things you
have been getting up to at home and at school are a highlight of every week and
can be seen in the photos below. Other highlights this week have to be:
- The Teaching Staff Team having a virtual
meeting on Zoom
- Year 3 Greek Day - your costumes were fabulous
- Our
first virtual Achievement Assembly - well done to all our Home Learning
Heroes
- The
fabulous pictures you have all made for the hospital, they will love them
These are just a few, there really are so many
more! What has been your highlight of the week?
Next week we will be having a 'History Week' where we will be setting activities for the children to record the event they are living though as well as learning about and celebrating VE Day which is on Friday. Further information will be coming to you next week.
Please try and make the most of the weekend and
enjoy time as a family. Get some rest ready to go again on Monday.
Please keep using #ourclockhousefamily with things
that you are posting as a further way of keeping in touch. We might not be
seeing each other every day but we are still one community who care for each
other!
If you do have any feedback for us about what we
are doing and how we can improve, please do let us know.
All that leaves me to say is, thank you for your
continued support and kind words at what is such a difficult time for us all
and from all at Clockhouse Primary School have a great weekend at home!
Enjoy the selection of photos below!
Our community - Our school - A family and a home
for everyone!
Stay safe and keep smiling
Mrs Savidge
