Good evening Clockhouse
Well here we are at the start of Week 9 of Home Schooling. I hope you liked the little surprise message and video this morning. It was so kind of Jo to agree to do this and thanks must go to Mrs Caruana for arranging it! As someone pointed out to me the children may not know who S Club 7 are but I am sure that the adults do!
I am very aware that parents have so very many questions regarding the re-opening of the school, please be patient, further information will be coming out in the near future that will hopefully answer, at least some, of the many questions you have. Again please be assured, whichever decision you make the school will respect this.
In the meantime it is business as the 'new' normal this week. Well done to all those who have been getting on with home schooling and also to those who sent staff portraits in - they were great! In school, the children have been busy. They have completed their Google Classroom work and carried out some lovely art work. 'Team M2' have been working with the children and supporting the community. Mrs Olivier has worked with Nursery, Reception and Year 1, Miss Burrows with Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 and Miss Wilson with Year 5 and 6. They have been supported by Mrs Joyner and Miss Hill. Mrs Ayling has been in the office and we also had Mr Gary with us. I have also been in school today!
Somethings to look out for this week
Whilst we are not together we are still busy planning things to try to keep you occupied! Things to look out for this week include:
- The next Votes for Schools information and vote - about sleep this week
- My weekly Tuesday video message
- A very special daily challenge coming out on Wednesday - I wonder if anyone knows what national day it is on Wednesday, our daily challenge will be linked to this
- Another challenge coming from Mr Yarrow
- Our next virtual Achievement Assembly - we are busy looking for our Home Learning Heroes for this week already!
Please keep using #ourclockhousefamily with things that we are posting as a further way of keeping in touch. We might not be seeing each other every day but we are still one community who care for each other!
Our community - Our school - A family and a home for everyone!
Stay safe and keep smiling
