Weekly reminders for week beginning 6th September 2021

It was certainly lovely to welcome the children from Year 1 to Year 6 back to school last week as well as welcoming our Reception and Nursery families throughout the week. The children certainly lived up to expectation and took returning to school in their stride. Their adaptability and resilience never ceases to amaze me. They settled so quickly into their classes with lots of learning taking place. Thank you also to all the parents, carers and families who adapted to the changes so well, this certainly makes all our lives easier!

Reception
Welcome to our Reception children who all start on Monday. We look forward to welcoming the children and their families to Clockhouse.

Nursery
Welcome to some of our Nursery children who will be starting with us later in the week, as with Reception we look forward to welcoming the children and their families to Clockhouse.

Meet the Teacher
As many of you know, normally during this time we hold short 'Meet the Teacher' sessions. We are currently thinking about how this will look this year and will communicate this with you in the near future.

Online Reading and Maths resources to use at home
Please remember that Reading Eggs, Reading Eggspress, Spelling Shed, Times Table Rock Stars and SumDog, the online programmes that we subscribe to, are available for the children. If you cannot remember your password please speak to your child’s class teacher who will be able to reissue it to you .

Class Dojo
If you have not yet signed into Class Dojo please ask your class teacher for your login details. If you have a new phone or device and need the password again to access the Dojo please also ask, it really is such a helpful and valuable communication tool for us and you as well as a way of celebrating your children's achievements in school. Following the success of last year, we will only be sending home paper letters in exceptional circumstances and we are sure you do not want to miss anything.

Things to be aware of
PE starts on this week, please remember to send children to school in full school PE kits on their PE Days. These can be found on Dojo on messages and in the welcome letters sent on Friday on Class Story.

When reading with your child at home, please comment in their reading diaries when they come home so that they get the children get a raffle ticket and are entered into the weekly draw.
