Weekly reminders for week beginning 2nd October 2023

Another good week was had at Clockhouse last week with another busy week coming up. As always thank you for all you do and your on-going support.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Harvest collection. The Foodbank were delighted with all that they received.

Is your child, or a child you know due to start Nursery in September 2024
We are looking forward to welcoming prospective parents / carers into school on Tuesday 10.00am. Please call the school to book this or a tour later in the term.

Reception and Year 1
We look forward to welcoming our Reception (Tuesday - 9.00-10.00 and Wednesday
- 9.00-10.00) and Year 1 (Thursday - 9.10-10.30) parents for Learn with my Child. Those who are joining us for Reception, please speak to class teachers about which day you should come if you are not sure.

Please come for as little or as much as you can. As with the other year groups, regrettably we are unable to accommodate younger siblings at these events.

Year 3
Year 3 are looking forward to their live virtual prehistoric stream on Thursday.

Year 5
Year 5 are looking forward to a virtual author visit on Wednesday.

Special Dinner for all
On Thursday we have the first special dinner day of the year. It would be really good to get as many people as possible having dinner on Thursday as this determines some of our schools funding. We really do appreciate your help in this matter. The menu was sent on Class Dojo on Friday.

Things to be aware of
Hopefully you saw the letters about the trips we have planned for the year, which came home last week. We hope this is useful.

On 10th October we will be celebrating World Mental Health Day. Children are invited to wear something yellow to recognise this. A letter will be coming out about this.

11th October is out annual WOW Day for Year 1 - Year 6. This year we will be focussing on Online Safety - an important and hot topic, I am sure you will agree. Please be aware there will be a virtual session for parents / carers in the evening at 8pm. Please keep it free, further information will follow.

School Closure - Please do not forget that Friday 20th October is a staff training day and therefore the school will be closed to children.
