Both the Year 1 and Year 2 teams arrived at the football festival full of excitement and energy. For many of the children, this was their first ever competition representing Clockhouse Primary School and they embraced the opportunity with enthusiasm and determination.
Year 2 Team Highlights
The Year 2 team displayed excellent teamwork throughout all their matches, always pushing forward and showing great resilience. The first three matches were challenging and despite their best efforts, the team was defeated. However, they did not let this get them down. In their fourth match, the team found their rhythm and earned a fantastic 5-1 victory against Hylands Primary. Ralph and Henry both scored two goals each, with Ellison adding the final goal to secure the win.
The team’s confidence grew from this victor and they carried that momentum into their final match of the day. They defeated Elm Park 2-1, with Ellison scoring both goals and Leo making some very impressive saves, leading the team to a well-deserved triumph.
