Year 5 and 6 do a great job representing Clockhouse

The Year 5 and 6 football teams arrived at the league eager and excited to represent their school, facing off against several different schools in a series of competitive matches. Both teams showed great spirit, teamwork, and determination throughout the tournament.

Girls Team Highlights:

The girls played their first-ever competitive match outside of school as a team and they impressed with their commitment and teamwork. Their first match was against Towers Primary, where they initially struggled to find their rhythm, losing 3-0. However, the girls did not let this setback deter them. They took everything they had learned from training and applied it in their next game against Drapers. The girls came back strong, securing a well-deserved 2-0 victory, with Isabelle and Poppy our captain scoring the goals and Amelia making some brilliant saves in goal with the defenders standing strong.

In addition to their league matches, the girls also participated in a couple of friendly matches, where they displayed their growing confidence and skill, winning both with impressive performances. At the end of the afternoon the girls were awarded the Respect award for how they played through out the league which was a huge reward for all their hard work and sportsmanship they displayed in all matches.
