Year 4 girls do themselves and us proud!

The team worked incredibly hard and showed brilliant sportsmanship throughout all their games. As the day progressed, the girls grew in confidence and demonstrated great teamwork and determination.

The tournament began with a tricky start, resulting in a loss. However, the girls did not let this setback affect them. In their second match against RJ Mitchell, they bounced back with an impressive 3-0 victory. Millie scored twice and Emilyah added a fantastic third goal to secure the win.

Their winning momentum continued into the next match against Langtons. With exceptional defending and strong all-round skills, the girls supported each other beautifully on the field, winning another 3-0. Millie and Alyana both found the net, with Harlie making some great saves in goal and Millie sealed the victory with a well taken third goal.

In their final group stage match, the girls faced a tough opponent in Gidea Park Primary. It was a very close and competitive game, with Gidea Park taking an early lead. The girls showed great determination, and Millie equalised to make it 1-1. Despite their best efforts right up to the final whistle, Gidea Park managed to score again and took the match 2-1.

Overall, the team worked fantastically well together, demonstrating skill, teamwork, and resilience across all their games. Their efforts were rewarded as they finished third in their group stage, a result they can be very proud of.

Well done Team!
