Girls Football Team extended Clockhouse's unbeaten start to the sporting year!

On Friday the girls football team took a trip to the reigning Borough champions Elm Park Primary School, hoping to equal the win that the boys picked up earlier in the week.

Clockhouse took a mixed squad of girls from Years 5 and 6, giving the girls their first opportunity to play in a new look squad for this year.

The girls did not disappoint and found themselves ahead early on when a powerful run from midfield saw Gracie H score the first goal of the season. It did not take long before the lead was doubled, Sophie L copying her brother from earlier in the week slotting home with a nice finish from close range.

As the game went on Clockhouse were determined to put the game to bed and Gracie H grabbed her second goal of the afternoon following another surging run through the heart of the Elm Park defence. Sophie L continued with a strong dribble down the right flank before cutting in and beating the keeper. Credit must go to Sophie who is playing only her second ever game but looks like she has been playing for years.

Elm Park did not want to go down without a say in the game and it took some spirited tackling from Paris K and Atiya R to stop Elm Park dribbling through. As a result Elm Park were forced to try to play the ball long but were again denied thanks to captain Rosie K and stand in goalkeeper Demi B.

With the game at four nil it seemed as though Elm Park had become a little disheartened which is a shame as they should be proud of their efforts but despite this Clockhouse played with a level of maturity and did not want to stop until the final whistle. Gracie H grabbing her hat trick goal followed by her fourth of the afternoon in what can only be described as a ruthless display of dribbling, power, and precision.

Final Score Elm Park 0 - 6 Clockhouse

Player of the Match - Paris K
