Hornchurch Fire Station opens its doors on Sunday to celebrate London Fire Brigade’s 150th anniversary
Firefighters in Hornchurch will open their fire station to the public as part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of London Fire Brigade.
From 12pm to 5pm on Sunday, 18 September, families will have the opportunity to see inside an operational fire station and meet the crew members who serve the local community.
Children and adults can sit inside one of the fire station’s engines and have photograph taken while wearing a firefighter’s helmet. There will also be fairground rides, a bouncy castle, face painting and a penalty shoot-out competition.
