Free School Meals during the current crisis

Dear Parents / Carers

Thank you to all those who are doing so well with their children at home and to all those who are providing the information we need regarding who needs to be in school next week.

The Local Authority have now told us of the position we will be in with regards to providing food at lunchtime. The school canteen will be offering a revised menu of 1 meat / fish and 1 vegetarian dish from the current menu to children in school. Thank you to all those who have already told us of their needs.

We have had a number of families ask about the provision that will be in place for children who are eligible for FSM meals who are at home.  We have been informed that there will be a packed lunch service available that can be collect and taken home to consume. To this end, and to ensure maximum planning, we need to know that if your child is eligible for Free School Meals and you will be needing to pick up a packed lunch.

Please complete the information below and as far as is possible and return this to school by 3pm today so that we can plan. Please return the following information to:
office@clockhouse.havering.sch.uk

Your child’s / children’s names:
Year group/s:
My child is eligible for free school meals:
I will need to pick up a packed lunch for my child:
Best number to contact me on:

Please note you only need to return the above information if you need a packed lunch. The arrangements for picking up packed lunches will follow. Please bear with us.

In very exceptional and extreme circumstances, we may be able to deliver packed lunches. Please contact the school directly should you wish to discuss this.

We are hoping that the national food voucher will be finalised shortly although it is unclear as to when this will be and we will obviously update you accordingly.

These are extraordinary times and as always I thank you for your support and help at this difficult time. As always please do not hesitate to contact me should you need to.

Kind regards, keep safe
Mrs Savidge
