Time to CELEBRATE - Value Champion Alert!

We are very excited and pleased to share with you that we have more Clockhouse Value Champions of 2022-2023!

A huge congratulations to

Aania H (Australia)
who has earned the Nurture Champion Award for 2022-2023!

Aania constantly goes above and beyond for her classmates to ensure everyone is happy. She checks in with me every day to see if I’ve had a break, am okay or need any jobs doing and she is just such a kind and caring individual.

Asena N (Japan)
who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2022-2023!

Asena has show phenomenal perseverance with division in maths. She struggled when we first started division last week however never gave up. She kept going even when she found it tricky and challenging. Her resilience has ensured she has made excellent progress and is now using the bus stop method to divide numbers showing her remainder as a decimal. Well done Asena, we are very proud of you!

Frankie W (Japan)
who has earned the Excellence Champion Award for 2022-2023!

For his efforts towards all his learning in particular his reading has been amazing. He is reading at home and in school and has shown a clear love for the books he is reading. I love to chat with him about the stories he has read (this week, I enjoyed Titanic facts)  and he is able to retell the story accurately. Whenever he has a spare moment in class he is choosing his book over using his Chromebook. He has moved up 2 book bands within the last week showing that when you put your mind to something you can achieve anything. He is volunteering to read in class and reads clearly and confidently which is something that he would never do before.

Poppy W (India)
who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2022-2023!

Poppy has shown a great enthusiasm and determination in many areas throughout this term. In writing she is always listening and looking for ways to improve her work, which has resulted in big improvements since September. In Athletics, she has shown a great determination to improve in all areas of running, jumping and throwing and as a result is making huge improvements.

Dylan M (Uganda)
who has earned the Community Champion Award for 2022-2023!

Dylan competed in the National Championships in Taekwondo. He trains hard each week and fully commits to the sport. Because of his hard work and resilience, Dylan won two bronze medals and one gold medal. He even shared some of the routines and moves that he performed at the championship with the class.

Harkaran T (Brazil)
who has earned the Excellence Champion Award for 2022-2023!

During the celebrations for Guru Nanak Dev Ji's birthday, Harkaran sang a shabad or hymn on the stage in the Sikh temple (Gurdwara). He received a community champion badge for doing so last year but this year our class loved watching the video of his singing very bravely and loudly in front of lots of parents and the community. For this reason, and for his dedication and bravery, I would like to nominate him for the Excellence Champion badge.

Theo B (USA)
who has earned the Excellence Champion Award for 2022-2023!

All of the staff that work with this young man are incredibly proud of the progress he has made so far this year.  He comes in to school happily, is polite and friendly to adults and children and is trying so hard to make good choices, which hasn't always been easy for him.  He is working hard at becoming more independent and is also beginning to enjoy working with other children, which again is a huge achievement for him.  He really is showing excellence in the effort he is putting in and the choices he is making every day. Theo - Mrs St Louis, Mrs Vale and Mrs Booth think you are amazing!

Elora D (Italy)
who has earned the Excellence Champion Award for 2022-2023!

Elora always goes above and beyond in her learning. She is always one step ahead and continues to surprise me with her positive attitude towards learning. Elora will always make sure her work is completed to a high standard. She always completes additional work at home, which is wonderful to see. We are all super proud of her efforts in year 1 so far.

A huge well done from everyone at Clockhouse - wear your Values Champion Badge with pride!
