A Day of Fun and Fair Play at the Year 2 Football Festival

The sun was shining, and the excitement was in the air as the Year 2 football festival kicked off. Children from various teams turned up eager and ready to play, showing off their skills and teamwork on the field.

Throughout the day, the young players demonstrated great sportsmanship. Whether they won or lost, the children handled the outcomes gracefully and with respect for their opponents. 

After each match, the teams congratulated one another, embodying the spirit of fair play.

The festival was not just a showcase of athletic talent but also of camaraderie and kindness. Spectators were quick to comment on how well the children played and how wonderfully kind our players were both on and off the field.

In Miss Macdonald's absence, Mrs. Hurford stepped in to support the team. She was blown away by the children's behavior and their exemplary attitude; she praised their kindness, cooperation and strong sense of teamwork.

The day concluded with happy smiles and lasting memories. This festival was a reminder of the importance of teaching young athletes not only how to play the game but also how to be good sports. We look forward to seeing even more of this positive spirit in future events!
