School Term Dates 2019-2020

Children in Year 1 to 6 return to school: Thursday 5th September

Wednesday September 4th is an INSET day for staff only. 

Pupils from Year 1 – Year 6 return to school on Thursday 5th September at 8.55am in full school uniform.

Mrs Bowden's uniform shop will be open on Wednesday September 4th between 10.30am and 2pm, but will be shut on 5th and 6th September. It will re-open on 9th September.

Help needed!

Dear Parents / Carers,

Last year the whole school worked together to create a successful whole school inside art piece and we will be doing this again this year but in a slightly different way. 

This year we will be creating a whole school outside artwork in our first full week back which is also our first themed week. Linked to this theme 'New Year, New Me', we will be creating a zen pebble walkway. This will involve every child in the school painting a pebble with their own design which will then create a walkway.

In order for us to undertake this exciting art opportunity, we are requesting every child to please bring in a pebble (or more) for them to paint. The pebble should be about 10 cm in diameter with a good area to create a design on - Pebbles can be slightly bigger or smaller. Pebbles could come from  anywhere really that you want to go on an adventure to to find your pebble. 

Every pebble that comes into school will earn their finder 4 dojos as well which will be a great way to start the year. 

Your pebble needs to be in school by Friday 6th September.

School Uniform Reminder

As you know we take pride in the fact that all our children wear school uniform and would like to take this opportunity to thank parents and carers for the support they give us in achieving this. School uniform is one of the ways in which we encourage the children to feel a part of the school community. 

Therefore as you may well be beginning to think about school uniform for September in the not too distant future, please can we remind you all that when you are buying new uniform please remember that shoes should be predominantly black.

The uniform is as follows:

                                                    White polo shirts with school logo

                                                    Grey shorts or long trousers

                                                    Royal blue sweatshirt with school logo

                                                    Sensible shoes, not boots (preferably without laces)

                                                    Grey skirt or pinafore dress

                                                    Royal blue cardigan (sweatshirt) with school logo

                                                    Blue and white check dress

PE Kit:                                        
                                                   White t-shirt with school logo

                                                    Royal blue shorts

                                                    Royal blue / Grey tracksuit

                                                    Plimsolls

Please note that the children in the Nursery do not need a PE kit.

Nail Varnish:
Please remember that nail varnish and make up is not to be worn by pupils. Any designs that have been painted on during the holiday need to be removed by the start of school in September.

Earrings: 
Please also remember that earrings should not be worn for school for health and safety reasons.

School Uniform Sales:

To ensure that the start of the new school year is as smooth as possible, please ensure that uniform is purchased on the training day in September before the children return. Mrs Bowden’s uniform shop will be open on September 4th between 10.30am and 2pm, but will be shut on 5th and 6th September. It will re-open on 9th September. 

Order forms for school uniform can be obtained from the school office from 4th September.

Please ensure that ALL uniform is clearly named.
