Clockhouse Weekly Wow

Here is last week's Weekly Wow and as usual there were a lot of things to 'wow' about last week.

Time to CELEBRATE - Value Champion Alert!

We are very excited and pleased to share with you that we have more Clockhouse Value Champions of 2022-2023!

A huge congratulations to

Archie A (New Zealand)
who has earned the Excellence Champion Award for 2022-2023!

Archie is always positive and most days he is at the edge of his seat to both learn new things and share his opinions and learning. His enthusiasm is infectious and amazing to be a part of. It is wonderful how he can inspire the other children in the class to become excited about a new learning opportunity.

Hassan J (New Zealand)
who has earned the Respect Champion Award for 2022-2023!

Hassan is one of the most polite young men I have had the privilege of teaching. He always listens to advice and is incredibly respectful when listening to others opinions, giving feedback or supporting other children. He is role model to others and it is a delight to teach him every day.

Alfie R (Australia)
who has earned the Respect Champion Award for 2022-2023!

He is such a model Clockhouse citizen and despite being such a quiet member of the class is always so polite and respectful to everyone. He demonstrates these qualities consistently and is a wonderful example and role model to his peers.

Jai C (Australia)
who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2022-2023!

Jai has really come out of his shell during his journey in Year 6. He has gone from a shy and reserved member of the class to a confident learner who is keen to share his understanding. He will often throw his hand up into the air because he is so excited to share what he knows and has worked extremely hard to develop how he explains himself to the rest of the class. Well done Jai!

Omar A and Daria L(China)
who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2022-2023!

These children have shown amazing resilience and hard work during their swimming lessons resulting in doing a full width of the pool. Mrs Ibrahima and Mr Beacon are so proud of them and to see their big smiles after completing the lessons was a pleasure.

James K (Uganda)
who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2022-2023!

James has made fantastic progress since the start of the year and always shows a positive attitude towards his learning. He pushes himself constantly and enjoys a challenge! I am so proud of the work that he is producing and he should be too!

Robyn G (Uganda)
who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2022-2023!

Robyn has been working exceptionally hard to push herself with her learning. Although she can sometimes find spelling a challenge, she has never given  up and has even taken it upon herself to practise more at home which has had a huge impact on the work she is producing.

Danilo R, Isabelle H and Joshua D (Kenya)
who has earned the Community Champion Award for 2022-2023!

These three children have gone above and beyond. Not only do they continue to show kindness and compassion to others in the classroom, they have now shown this to our wider community by choosing to raise money for a charity of great significance. I am so proud and they all fully deserve to be recognised as outstanding Clockhouse Citizens. You are all superstars!

Ariya B (Italy)
who has earned the Nurture Champion Award for 2022-2023!

This person is always so kind and caring. She is always looking out for others and continues to show me what a fabulous friend she is. Not only does she look out for her peers, but she will always ask the adults if they are okay too. She is a fantastic role model to others in the class and it is a pleasure to have her in class Italy.

A huge well done from everyone at Clockhouse - wear your Values Champion Badge with pride!

Year 2 Explore the Community

Year 2 have been busy learning about the community as part of their learning in PSHE.

They combined their learning with their computing skills and used Google Earth to develop their knowledge.

Look at the pictures below to see what USA got up to!

It's Gardening Time

A huge thank you to Mrs Elliot's Gardening Club who help to look after the gardens at the Methodist Church in Clockhouse Lane.

They give up their lunchtime in order to do this and we are so proud of them all.

Year 5 visit The Havering Museum

Year 5 had a great time when they went to visit The Havering Museum to support their learning about the Victorians.

They were very surprised to find out about all the links to the Victorians in Havering and even looked at some of the architecture from this historical period.

Not only did they learn a lot and had a great time, they were fabulous Clockhouse Citizens throughout the whole trip - well done Year 5.

Here is what India got up to!
