Clockhouse Weekly Wow

Here is last week's Weekly Wow and as usual there were a lot of things to 'wow' about last week.

Time to CELEBRATE - Value Champion Alert!

We are very excited and pleased to share with you that we have more Clockhouse Value Champions of 2023-2024!

A huge congratulations to

Omar A (Australia)

who has earned the Community Champion Award for 2023-2024!

Being a good citizen includes kindness, empathy having an involvement with everyone and Omar is a fantastic member of our classroom community! He looks out for everyone, ensures the room is tidy (which makes me very happy) and displays excellent sportsmanship both in PE lessons and at break/lunchtimes. I truly think the class would be lost without him!

Isaac P (Australia)

who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2023-2024!

Isaac is like a sponge and just loves to learn! He thinks deeply about everything and ensures that he really understands what is being taught to him so he can come back to it later when he needs it. You can tell the learning doesn't stop inside the classroom as he will often share his computing expertise of things he has been working on at home too. Keep being inquisitive Isaac!

Valser M (Australia)

who has earned the Nurture Champion Award for 2023-2024!

Valser is the most polite child you would ever meet and is such a gentleman already! He really takes care over his manners and demonstrates this by holding doors open for you, checking in and asking how you are, offering to carry resources when he is out for interventions and will frequently either go and find you a chair to sit on or offer up his own! It's a wonderful trait to have and something we don't always see too much of sadly! Well done Valser!

Amritpal B (India)

who has earned the Learning Champion Award for 2023-2024!

This student has a real thirst for learning in every subject. He frequenlty asks very inquisitive questions and is always trying to deepen his own understanding. I am often incredibly impressed with his writing, where he puts in an effort to use WOW vocabulary at every opportunity and make his work the best it can be. He is thoroughly deserving of the learning badge.

Sabiha R (Brazil)

who has earned the Excitement Champion Award for 2023-2024!

Both inside and outside of the classroom, she has a real enthusiasm to learn and widen her knowledge on topics we are looking at. On a few occasions, she has practised what she has learnt in the lesson and produced an in depth piece of research on it or practised using it. This has enabled her to practise the skills taught, whilst radiating an excitement for learning in the classroom to her peers.

Aleena H (USA)

who has earned the Respect Champion Award for 2023-2024!

This person always listens respectfully in class and happy to lend a hand with class jobs. She is respectful to all teachers and classmates alike.  She shows kindness and is always polite, showing beautiful manners. It is a delight to have her in class.

A huge well done from everyone at Clockhouse - wear your Values Champion Badge with pride!

Reception Rumble in the Jungle

Our Reception children are loving learning all about animals.

The have loved reading the book 'Rumble in the Jungle' and have liked reading all the rhymes about the different animals.

Look at what they have been up to! They have certainly been busy!

We all love a bit of chocolate!

Year 5 were very excited to take part in a Chocolate workshop linking to their learning about the Mayans.

Did you know that the Mayans believed that chocolate was a gift from the gods?

During the workshop the children learnt how chocolate is made, the history of cocoa and chocolate, Mayan history and cocoa traditions.

If you want to know more just ask Year 5! They had a great time!
